These get unedited and ostensibly make front page.....further spreading the wrong information and making folks perceive Nigerians in negative light..
the EFCC contrary to the impreation created by the OP did not abandon the case its prosecuting against FFK..After leading all its witnesses to give testimonies in proof of the allegations preferred an Accused person...The notice given by the prosecutor or prosecuting agency is referred to as closure of its case... The accused person would either exercise either of the several options available to him& these include either rest its case on the evidence by the prosecution or asserts alternatively that it wants to make a no case submission asserting that no evidence worthy of consideration has been led upon which the court can convict him or the accused may proceed to testify and give his side of the story...We need to be careful with the information we pass on to the public at large on forums such as NL...Seeing the reactions by way of responses of several respondents one wonders how well Nigerians put to use the education they were exposed to for which they were issued certificates that parade too often.

1. How do you charge and put a man on trial and send him to jail after concluding via your own investigation that he did nothing wrong because no money was missing and every kobo was accounted for?

2. Resting your case and argument against the accused after logically presenting your evidence and relevant facts is quiet different from abandoning your case because you not only have zero evidence or argument to successfully prosecute the accused, but also because you've exonerated the accused by to his defense and the court that the accused did nothing along.

EFCC should please consider those on NL who might commit suicide and revisit the case. The so-called fight against corruption shouldnt be different strokes for different people.

This's happening because the libelous man has joined PDP. The case got dropped kudos to GEJ the promoter of grand corruption
