It’s normal in professional wrestling for those in the
industry to end up with someone else in the
industry. With the ridiculous travel schedules, (WWE employees can be on the road for up to 300 days a year), wrestlers won’t have much time to meet the love of their life by going to a bar, meeting through mutual friends, or even signing up on match.com.

The people wrestlers spend the most time with are
fellow wrestlers, so it’s normal there would be many
wrestling couples. Wrestlers understand each
other’s plight, that they have to sacrifice so much
time to perfect their craft and that they have to live
life on the road. Gossip is a part of the wrestling
world, so it’s time to play the role of Hollywood
tabloids. Who are the top wrestling couples
involving current stars in the business? We’ll be
sticking with current couples, and current wrestlers
(or recently retired).

10) The Miz and Maryse

Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and Maryse Ouellet
officially tied the knot in February of this year with a
wedding in the Bahamas.

They both came into the WWE at approximately the
same time, as the Miz made his debut on
Smackdown! in 2006, while Maryse was competing
in the Divas Search. They went out for quite a long
time before getting married.

Among the wrestlers attending the wedding were
WWE superstars Zack Ryder and Dolph Ziggler, as
well as former WWE employees John Morrison and
Kelly Kelly.

Maryse still wrestles on the independent circuit, and she has become a realtor in Los Angeles, after
earning her real estate license. The Miz is of course,
still in WWE and has gotten the occasional movie/tv
role, including Christmas Bounty last year as well
as The Marine 3.

9) Jimmy Uso and Naomi

This couple is still relatively new to wrestling fans
and was revealed via WWE’s reality show on E! Total
Divas. Jimmy Uso (Jonathan Salofa Fatu), one half of
the Usos, current tag team champions and Naomi
(Trinity Fatu) married in January after being a
longtime couple.

It is not confirmed when the couple met, but it was
around the time they both started under their
developmental contracts in WWE, roughly in 2009.
Trinity McCray married into one of the greatest
wrestling families of all time, as the Fatu family is
linked to many great Samoan wrestlers, including
Rikishi, Jimmy’s father, Yokozuna, Peter Maivia and
even The Rock.

You get to see the couple interact on Total Divas and
you wonder if we’ll ever see a portrayal of that on
WWE television.

8. Brock Lesnar and Sable

Sure, Brock Lesnar isn’t technically a full-time
wrestler, but he is one of WWE’s highest-paid
talents. He wrestles less than a handful of matches ayear, but all that means is he gets more time with
the legendary diva Sable (Rena Lesnar).

The couple met in Lesnar’s initial WWE run and
Sable’s second stint in 2003. Sable had recently
divorced Marc Mero and Lesnar had recently called
off an engagement, making their timing impeccable.

They were engaged about a year after meeting, but
would not end up marrying until May of 2006.
They have two children of their own, as well as two
children from previous relationships. Sable’s even a
grandmother now. The couple resides quietly in
Minnesota.

7. Edge and Beth Phoenix

Adam “Edge” Copeland has had trouble in
previous marriages, as the burden of professional
wrestling usually proved to be too big. However, nowhaving peacefully retired, Edge seems quite contentto live a normal family life.

Beth Phoenix (Elizabeth Caloran) was also married
once before. It is unknown how long the two have been together, but Edge did give his love a special mention in his 2012 Hall of Fame speech.
Edge retired in 2011 due to neck and back injuries
catching up to him, while Beth left the company in
2012 citing family reasons.

Not long after, Phoenix became pregnant and the
couple announced the birth of a baby girl in
February this year. The daughter was named Lyric,
possibly due to Edge’s well known passion for music.

6. Undertaker and Michelle McCool

Once again, the transition away from a life on the
road seems to have stabilized what were tough
marriages. The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) had
been married twice before, with three kids.
Michelle McCool was married as well, before getting
divorced in 2006, roughly around the same time as
Calaway had ended his second marriage.
They were romantically linked in 2007 and were
married in Houston on June 26, 2010. The couple
also had a daughter in 2012.

McCool has by all accounts retired from professional
wrestling and following Undertaker’s WrestleMania
loss, he may have very well wrestled his last match
too. Undertaker is very well off, having had a
lucrative career, and can now live a peaceful life at
home with his wife and family. Wrestling fans wish
them both well.

5. Natalya and Tyson Kidd

Sure, Nattie Neidhart and TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd)
are going through the rigorous schedule that is pro
wrestling, but they have always done so together.
If you like sappy, cute, puppy dog love stories, this is the one for you. Tyson Kidd first befriended several members of the Hart family when he was 10 and met Natalya when they were 12.

They have been together for 13 years, having dated
since 2001 and sealed their relationship with
matrimony in June 2013.

Their wedding was actually featured on Season 1 of
Total Divas.

4. CM Punk and A.J. Lee

Sure, they haven’t been together all that long, but
the attention they’re receiving lands them high on
the list. Ever since CM Punk (Phil Brooks) walked
away from WWE this January, every action he does is overly documented. We all know when he sneezes.

Punk has had quite an impressive run with
relationships; you can almost say he’s the Derek
Jeter of professional wrestling. He’s been in
relationships with Maria Kanellis, Beth Phoenix, Lita
and now AJ Lee, with whom he’s finally settled down.

There were pictures seen of the couple for the last
couple of years, attending Cubs games, walking the
streets of Chicago, etc…

AJ Lee recently took a leave of absence from WWE
and now we know why she did. She married Brooks
last month on June 13; Friday the 13th.
Punk has been followed around by fans and
wrestling dirt sheets, as many itch for him to come
back, but by all accounts he has moved on and is
enjoying his tranquil life. We’ll have to settle for Mrs.Punk.

3. John Cena and Nikki Bella

The Bella twins are currently each involved with
WWE’s two most popular superstars with Brie Bella
married to Daniel Bryan and Nikki Bella with the
champ John Cena.
Their relationship is closely followed on Total
Divas and it seems the couple now also lives
together.

Both Cena and Nikki Bella (Nicole Garcia-Colace)
actually were married to their high school
sweethearts, with Nikki revealing that fact on Total
Divas, that she had gotten married in secret and the marriage was annulled after three years.

Cena’s divorce came in 2012 and TMZ reported the
two were together late in 2012.
The story on Total Divas has been that Cena does
not want to get married again, or have kids, while
Nikki very much wants both things. It’s possible
we’re being played by reality television, but that’s
the fun of it.

1) Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

Well, this one’s no secret. Triple H (Paul Levesque)
and Stephanie McMahon are the top wrestling
couple and the industry’s most powerful. They are
the heirs of the global corporation and have been
married for over 10 years.

We all remember they once were only married in
storyline, but they eventually became a legitimate
couple and were married in October of 2003. They
have three daughters together and work with a full
plate.

Triple H is the Executive Vice President of the talent,
and Stephanie is the Chief Brand Officer,
spearheading all marketing programs and spreading WWE’s brand.

They also happen to play the villainous roles of The
Authority on WWE television and Triple H laces up
his boots when he sees fit.
How can they not be the top couple? Take into
account the longevity of their relationship and how
much they control in the industry. They’re going to
be around for a long time together and the future of
the WWE rides with them.
