The Jews needed to see Jesus as a criminal, that why they crucified him. Without Jesus dying Christianity will be empty and void. Islam denies his death, but his death is the backbone of Christianity. God intended that the Jews be blinded this way so that we the gentile can be engrafted to Him through faith.
Bottom line is: the God of the Jews is the God of Christianity. The only difference is that Jews still follow the Old testament while Christians follow the new.But its the same God.The "God" of Islam is however different.
