Ok here it goes,
It comes mainly as front wheel drive(Optiona 4x4 rare)
Lexus built the antilock sensor into the drive shafts so there are 4 sensors in this car as it is a 4 wheel drive ( 4 shafts)2 wheel drive 2 shaft. In order to change the sensor the shaft must be replaced with a cost close to 1000$. Other issue is the timing belt.
This model has a timing belt that must be changed around the 180k with a cost to the customer of close to 1000$. so be aware this is what you will face
The RX is more like an Mini Van (Sienna) than an SUV

yep , I learnt all these the hard way, trust me the Highlander is structurally better and parts are easy to get, cos they are not complicated and compact.

Cos aparently you might have to dismantle the whole axle to get to where that little part is and re assemble .might take the whole day plus needs specialist tool plus calibration.I jave a first hand xpirience with changing the C clip in my jeep liberty rrar axle I did it myself but it took me nearly one full day.

C-clip in a jeep is in the rear axle not front CV. And you only have to do it if you have a leak or break it and such work come with all front wheel and rear wheel drive vehicles

It might take you a whole day being your first time but next time it will take nothing more than 2 hours since you're now familiar with the parts and tools.

I just changed my outer tie rod this morn will do CV tomorrow or tonight I had ordered the wrong part so will have to return but will show pics to show how easy it can be.

Such work should not deter from getting a vehicle with better value; and what I mean is if on cost $40 new and other $25, after 10 year if they. Both cost almost the same buy the one that was more expensive you will get a whole lot more for same or less no reason to compare highlander to RX300 even if its 2 years older

Guy its like u just woke up wen U rrad my post check well at what you quoted I said rear axle.All thesame you are right next time might be quicker.
