There's also a bird called okwa whose sister is ogazi
In my place,the wooden kini with a fancy cover that our grandfathers use in serving kola nuts with ose oji is called Okwa ose.

Okwa = goose (bush foul)
Okwa as in okwa oji = wooden plate with cover for servicing kola nut
Okwa as in Eze Okwa = a dreaded masquerade in some localities in Imo State

However, NDOKWA is a combination of two words - NDI and OKWA. Ndi means people. Okwa means oldest person in a family/kindred/town/community. ND'OKWA means "THE OLDEST PEOPLE".

NNeokwa=mother of all "okwa's"
But then "Ndokwa"
Then for ABS onitsha,no day passes without the mentioning of "Ndokwa"

Hallelujah! the NDOKWAS, UKWANIS or ANIOCHAS are not Igbos. But how on earth did they allow Igbos to have so much dominance on their language, culture, etc?
