suwailad: Mediocre artiste like olamide,he should be known as a Fuji musician. Please dont taint DAGRINS name here.

Pls, don"t even try to look down on Fuji genre.......it is complicated and deep.

Respect to the Fuji Musicians....dead or alive!

padeolu: Olamide is way better than daGrin. Death made dagrin the legend that he is.

Phyno is better than the two of them tho

yes , Phyno is good also.....but you cant say he is the best of the three yet.

Lets wait on him for more deliveries.

Olamide has proven himself.

Dagrin was cut off by death.

dagrin rap is clean, flows very well, nice content unlike the other guy olamide, whose content is filled with abusive words and unnecessary shouting. in a corporate or classic musical show, they won't invite him to come and sing because he might embarrassed the guest on sit with curse and abusive words in his music.

for me, I'll prefer dagrin.

with or without dagrin, ola will still be who he is and will still be known for what he does. it's God that give grace.

Snoop001: I hate to see this trend. Why people keep saying the word. If dagrin no go, olamide no go come. Dagrin is good, no doubt about that. So as olamide too. To me olamide is more better than dagrin. Cos his versatile. Dagrin only rap while olamide does every. Dagrin is only known in Yoruba speaking land. He was popular after is death. Olamide is known everywhere in Nigeria a,s loved by many.

God bless you, come take a hug #e-hugs#...I didn't know Dagrin till his death.
But even my lil cousins for village know Olamide...and Olamides' yoruba is more friendly to every other tribe(s), that dagrin own dey sound like égùn for my ear....lol

You are very right, the sky is wide enough for the birds to fly.

Please, change your mentality. The sky is wide enough for the birds to fly. In those days, horse and chariots were highest media of transportation but the world has improved by inventing airplanes and cars. Change is the only constant thing in life. We, the current generation, are to change and improve erroneous evil proverbs like the one you quoted. If the King conquers more territories, there will be need for more kings, for wish the first king should be happy.

#FACT
sometimes your blessing is hiden with someone..
Sometimes in a working place or offices, one must have been sacked or
dead before another lucky person could get employed...
Something must have given olamide the courage to start raping rapping with
yoruba...but that dosnt mean olamide never intend to be a musician,he
got mentor ofcourse..
But that dosnt mean olamide wouldnt have gone that far if Dragin is
still alive
stop compearing the DEAD with the LIVEN[/quote]

Y unah all dey say u no no dagrin, means u ppl no dey listen to naija songs. Even if u never hear dagrin sing, u no hear efimile by yq where dagrin Rapp cos dat song reign for over several month on rythym jsmz at 7 by jagg da mechadon dis silver bird hip hop presenter cos any song dat ever blow for naija must first b aired by dis guy. Me i never c any olamide work reign lyk dat except dis is song where he rap lyk wizzy young money n dats his only song i respect d rest nah trash n shouting lyk agbero no content. But check grin rap is just flowing lyk spring water. My opinion is, real music fans will always rate grin over olamide yl dance hall music fans will always prefer olamide style

What if was told that Olamide killed Dagrin, what would you say? Now that there was no link nor evidence btw Olamide's reign and Dagrin's death, I am just wondering what could have been the heading for this thread if there is. One thing is generally common, haters grows along with success. If you like go back and wake Dagrin from its grave, for this little time I have chosen Olamide above every other indeginous Artiste (Late or Living). To start with, I was one of this guy strong haters when his album first dropped, there was a track 'Illefo ILluminatti' I hate dat song. After a while I began to follow his trends, then I listened to 'Iwo lo n je jale' till today. There is something I noticed about Olamide, he is a strategist who uses his music to gather his fan base. HOW?
1. Each track of Olamide song is directed to its audience!
2. He Chose interest in Igbo's at least that's helpful to him one way or the other in terms of tribal criticisms
3. He never forgets where he came from, how it started and where he is.
4. He encourages boys in the streets that things can still be better off just as it happend to him. Listen to His recent track 'Motivation'
5. Olamide is a king on his own, not in battle nor contest wt anybody
6. Olamide is HARD WORKING check out his rap lyrics. 'O ta lenu'
7. The guy is humble.
Plss feel free to modify if I am off point or add to it.
