It doesn’t matter how you choose to live your life — whether you build a business or work a corporate job; have children or choose not to have children; travel the world or live in the same town all of your life; go to the gym 5 times a week or sit on the couch every night — whatever you do, someone will judge you for it.

For one reason or another, someone will find a reason to project their insecurities, their negativity, and their fears onto you and your life, and you’ll have to deal with it.

If you are frustrated about your life, that doesn't mean you should pour your anger on an innocent person. Just because your life is miserable, doesn't mean others should follow suit.

Why do you have to hate someone who writes about building better habits, being healthy, providing solution to someone's problem and living an adventurous life. Could you imagine if I wrote about something that was actually controversial like politics or religion?

Don’t be the hater. Don’t be the person who tears down someone else’s hard work. The world needs more people who contribute their gifts and share their work and ideas. Working up the courage to do that can be tough. Support the people who display that courage.

We can't control what other people do but we can control what we do. Live a full, rich, happy life and surround yourself with people who do the same and you won't have to deal with people that don't see the value in your presence in their life.

Don't be in a hurry to condemn someone because he doesn't do what you do or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when you didn't know what you know today.

Before you condemn someone else for a wrongful act, check your behavior and see if you too, have committed an act similar or even worse than the act that person has done. Then you won’t be in a position to judge.

Oh yes, I am talking to you. Haters here in Nairaland who doesn't appreciate other people's effort.. They are now forming caucus. They know themselves.

To those who have been criticize here(Nairaland), remember that Criticism and negativity from other people is like a wall. And if you focus on it, then you’ll run right into it. You’ll get blocked by negative emotions, anger, and self-doubt. Your mind will go where your attention is focused. Criticism and negativity don’t prevent you from reaching the finish line, but they can certainly distract you from it.

However, if you focus on the road in front of you and on moving forward, then you can safely speed past the walls and barriers
that are nearby.

This is not a matter of taking things personal.. It is about what is going on on Nairaland.. Most people are afraid to express themselves because of criticism. If a small community like Nairaland can not tolerate people, then how about the whole country? Nairaland shoudn't be I am Ibo, I am Yoruba or I am Hausa.. It suppose to be We are one Nigerian.
