Plus....it helps you get sponsors if you win an event....which means more money for training, travel, etc. And more funding for your sport(Governments love winners.!....and will increase funding for a sport in next year's budget if there is a win this year. ). Hope Blessing does well in the Worlds next season....the Commonwealth games saw the absence of most of her rivals...like Shelly Ann Price(Injury) and Murielle Ahuore(of Ivory Coast) and the Americans.(non-Commonwealth). |

Obiagelli: I see...and that was some good decision making. I recall one coach with AFN saying last year that Blessing did not do well during last year's worlds' because she combined long jump with the sprints...and the long jump came first...and she did not have time to recover for the sprints , especially the 100m (Which she still ran..and won bronze). |
