For those of you who don't know Isha Isatu Sesay is a reporter with CNN, though she was born in Britain she is originally Sierra Leonean.

Isha Sesay played a major role in the BringBackOurGirls campaign, she was one of the International Celebrity to start the BBOG hash tag placard thing, according to reports she also instigated/cajole other celebrities into doing same, during the hit of the BBOG campaign her tweets and Facebook timeline was jam packed with all kinds of theories and speculation about the Chibok girls saga all aimed at criticizing the FG of Nig.

There were instances where she bridged journalism ethics by almost verbally confronting persons speaking on behalf of the FG during an interview, that’s by the way.

Just like other BBOG campaigners their aim was to make sure the Government acts fast in ensuring that the girls are recued.

Now the big question is why has Isah Sesay suddenly gone mute about the Ebola Virus as Ebola ravages her home country, Sierra Leone?
Wouldn’t starting an Ebola campaign (obviously she is very good at) be a good idea?

Why hasn’t she use her fame to start up maybe a sensitization/awareness campaign in an attempt to help her people?
It’s pretty clear that she was motivated in the BBOG campaign by something, she was probably paid to scandalize the government by you know who.

No, she wont say anything cos that place will not give her the media publicity she craves for. But she can say all the rubbish in her head about Nigeria that liberated her parents' country from anarchy many years ago.

Staying mute as an epidemic ravages her country of origin is bad to me.

She should do what journalists/reporters do.

So far a foreign woman came to Nigeria to report a case of reality doesn't call for persecuting her and her origin.

She came to report a human disaster of boko haram and not a natural distaster of Ebola.

Sesay lived in Sierra Leone for most of her childhood and should be more concerned about Sierra Leone than other places. Sesay was born in the UK to Muslim parents from Sierra Leone in 1976 and may be biased in her duty as a journalist. Dont get her wrong she must defend her people anywhere in the world.

Sesay moved to Sierra Leone with her family when she was seven years old, where she studied at Fourah Bay College School in Freetown.

You are not adding up at all. Isha Sesay should utilise her position as an influential reporter/journalist with CNN to draw global attention to the Ebola scourge. Objectivity should go beyond trying to build a career on the ashes of African prestige.

you are making her more important than you think,i guess you ve not travel beyond the shores of Nigeria cos if you ve have,you will know that the CNN u watch here in Africa and middile east is different from what is shown in Americas,Europe and aasia,they mix some of the programmes,be that as it may she might not have much influence on the network organisation.

You are not making sense at all. I will not join you in the display of unconscionably low IQ. You are implying that Isha needs to be ubiquitous across different CNN bureaus to make an impact. Do I blame you? Maybe you have not worked in a structured organisation before and as such doesn't know jack about corporate governance. Or maybe your liliputian-sized thinking faculty cannot fathom the possibility that her involvement as per the CNN brand can galvanise other media genres to bring the issue to the front-burner...

What has your clueless drunk of a President said since the outbreak of Ebola? Is this not the same man that waited till after 3 months after over 200 girls were kidnapped to acknowlege there were missing? Isha Sessay is a mere reporter that does what CNN asks her to do.

Lemme get something straigth..

Are you saying what Sesay did in Nigeria during the start of the Chibok crisis meant nothing because of the Ebola Virus?!

Okay.. Lets reason together;

1. Ebola is a disease. The best that can be done in the past prior to the discovery of the existence of a trial drug was to educate people on how to stay safe.

2. Chibok Crisis was a Kidnapping of young school girls who were preparing for their SSCE. The region of Chibok prior to the kidnappinghad faced constant attacks and the Government had failed to protect them. Until Miss Sesay came in and tackled the Government with hard hitting questions, NO OTHER NIGERIAN MEDIA OUTFIT HAD DARED QUESTION THE GOVERNMENTS DELAYED RESPONSE TO THE ISSUE.

3. Ebola is invincible.. Boko Haram is Visible and has an identifiable face.

4. For Ebola, there seems to be hope of light at the end of the tunnel with the drug MZapp.. For the 200 Plus Chibok girls, their fate as we speak is as good as 0.000000001 percent. Let me put it in better perspective for you;

A Nigerian Graduate can barely survive 3 weeks of NYSC Camp... How do you think these Chibok Girls have fared in the Jungle or wherever they are with none of the things that NYSC campers take for granted?!

Mind you NYSC is 3 Weeks.. Chibok Girls were Kidnapped on the 15th of April 2014.. 15th if August would make it 4 Months in captivity.

5. Yes Sesay was a little unprofessional in her interviews with the Government, but I can bet you that if your child were a part of the 200, you wouldnt be 'corteous' when you meet with the Government.

I think this thread reeks of pure foolishness and speaks worse of the OP than of Isha Sessay. The Parents of those 200 Plus girls would love to have their daughters next to them whilst they figure out how to survive this Ebola outbreak. Whilst the rest of Nigeria is bothered about just Ebola and Boko Haram IEDs, those Chibok parents are still not protected, still without their daughters for over 3 months, also afraid of IEDs and now also have to protect themselves from Ebola.

Sesay did not have to do shiit about the Chibok issue. Maybe if Channels and AIT and co were not too busy being Loyal to the government, maybe if we Nigerians had mounted pressure on the Government from the onset, maybe if we were all as aggressive as Sesay when this Chibok thing happened, 200 plus girls would not be missing.

Mukina and Seun, its okay to attract traffic to your site, but foolishness such as this should not be tolerated.
