Release experimental drug, Zmapp to Africa!

Let us all come together and urge the Obama administration to release the experimental drug, Zmapp to medical personnel in Africa who contracted the disease in their line of duty. Their survival is essential to treating and quelling the epidemic that is gradually spreading across Africa.

No one knows who will be the next victim. The time to act is now and not by spreading baseless rumors that will not save the situation.

If Nigerians who want to volunteer to contribute findings, proffer solutions, partake actively in the fight, where would they start from?

A viable solution exists. But how can medical experts presently within the shores of the Country get to meet with the right authorities to make their contributions?

Africans are LAZY! Africans and Nigerians are lazy, incompetent and utterly fhoolish! Another country spends several years working hard to find solution to a problem that is not primarily their problem (ebola is from Africa), spends billions of dollars in research, equipment and training, involving their highest military resources at the Pentagon and civilians all working together, and Nigeria (and African countries) who have been stealing $ 20 B dollars, persecuting the opposition rather than building up their public health systems want to go cap-in-hand to force another country to give up its secrets? Its sweat? Well, I am Nigerian but giving any other country access to its sweat is not America's problem! They are not your feeding bottle daddy! Lazy Nigerian scumbags! For 15 years, your governments have been in power, they've not dealt with basic sicknesses like malaria, typhoid, diabetes, etc that still kill people anyhow, not to mention ebola but now you are presenting a petition? You people take fhoolishness to embarrassing levels!

The US government is not and was not elected to lead you or care for you! Your PDP government is what you elected, so go and meet them! The US runs a standard working system, where the president or some bureaucrat can unilaterally break the rules for a quick fix at the risk of long term problems to the systems! If all of you lazy scums have to die of ebola so that the remaining can get sense, the US should let your governments solve your problem! PDP till 2090 but now you want to run to America? It will not be well with all of you fhoolish, lazy people!

Laughable petition. When we criticize our leaders for being incompetent this is exactly what we are talking about.
Obama does not even have the power to force anyone to release what he developed with his own time and money.

Africans always begging and trying to obtain everything via the back door.
If you investigate that ZMapp, you will see that Nigerian scientists may have helped to develop it. But these same scientists were driven out of Nigeria because they could not get a job outside their state due to tribalism. While unqualified brats will be given the job under quota system.

Yet, Africans must be handed the painstaking result of other peoples' labor. grin

Well, unless ebola can be made a worldwide phenomenon like AIDS to make other useful countries to step in and find useful drugs. If it is only an African problem, i see everyone else in the world shutting any direct dealing with Africa and just let them perish with their ebola.

This is a very good observation. Most of the innovations in the US of today involve foreigners (Indians, Chinese, and Africans-especially Nigerians) . Replicating these things back home is an issue for Nigeria because of poor leadership from Nigerians at home. Read this article here

All the response are right but should we fold our hands and allow thousands of people to die just because our corrupt Government failed to invest on research and our institutions?

We all know our Leaders have failed us but this is not the time for such discussion. Ebola is getting out of hand and no knows who will be the next victim. We need Zmapp to experiment as well. Those already infected deserve a chance to leave.

The Internet we are enjoying was invented by the White (USA). Nairaland was develop with SWF an Opensource software created by the white and currently hosted with a white man web-server. The GSM phones we use are manufacture by the White. The computers, Planes, Medicines are from them. You should also blame our Leaders for this.

I repeat, this is not the time for blames but actions. When Ebola get to your doorstep, you will understand better.
