A group, Goodluck Good for
Nigeria, GGN, under the umbrella
of the Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, says it has made necessary
arrangement to compel President
Goodluck Jonathan to declare his
interest for next year Presidential
election.
The National Coordinator of the
group, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan,
who made this known while
inaugurating its leaders in the
Western region comprising of
Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Lagos, Delta,
Edo, Ekiti, and Ogun, at Irele local
government area of Ondo State
boasted that the group would give
Jonathan four Million votes from
the region.
He said Jonathan was one of the
Presidents that had been mostly
misunderstood, misread and
misrepresented, despite his
laudable achievements.
He noted that the group’s
intention was to sensitize all the
communities in the region,
particularly the South-West so
that the people would throw their
supports behind the President for
a second term.
He explained that they had move
around all the 141,000 polling
units in the eight states, adding
that in each of the polling unit,
they had a leader, who is having
regularly meeting with 15 people.
“If you multiply 15 with 141, 000,
that is equal to 2.9 million people.
With all that, we can boldly say we
will deliver four million votes for
Mr. President. We are going to
sensitize the people to vote en-
masse for Mr. President.
“This man needs our support
because most companies that left
the country are now back. For
instance, we now have a made in
Nigeria Nissan cars. People,
particularly, those unemployed
youths, have been given loans
without collateral.
“Jonathan is passionately working
for the poor masses. We are going
to compel him to run. This is not a
one man voice but voices of four
million masses urging the
President to contest. The voice of
man is voice of God and he must
respect the voice of God”, Igbasan
explained.
