The Deputy Governor of Enugu state, Mr Sunday Onyebuchi, collapsed Wednesday morning while testifying before the seven-member impeachment panel investigating the allegation of gross misconduct against him. It was said that he collapsed five minutes after the Chief of Staff to the Governor,
Ifeoma Nwobodo, and Commissioner for Justice, Anthony Ani, arrived at the court.

He was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital by members of his family, including his wife, Nneka. This unfortunate incident forced the panel to suspend proceedings till 2 p.m. Nobody knows what led to his collapse.

Impeachment proceedings were initiated against Mr. Onyebuchi because he was accused of rearing
