Ukraine will never be allowed into NATO. Same thing with Georgia.

All the Baltics states that managed to join NATO back in the 90s were lucky. Now NATO is unlikely to take on new members from "high risk" countries who ironically, needs NATO the most.

I think Ukraine will eventually be admitted into NATO in the coming years especially with the way Russia and indeed Putin is involved in d crisis in Eastern Ukraine. Its clear and there is evidence tht Russia is destabilizing d region and its denying it. These are tactics of a bully and Ukraine would seek protection from it just as d Baltics did. Of course Russia has the right protect itself and create a buffer zone from NATO but its strategy for achieving it only give Ukraine more reason to align with Europe and NATO.

Ukraine will NEVER be admitted to NATO. France and probably Germany will never allow it. same way the did not approved MAP in 2007-2008. and they will give the same reasons.
NATO will not take a member that will come and be a burden.Only stable ones that are not facing internal conflict and chaos will be preferred. It will take another generation for Ukraine to even be considered.
Only the junior partners in NATO like Poland, and the Baltics and probably Canada are making noise and when the push come to shove, they would have a very little contribution to any war effort and would probably the the first to be wiped out. Sane countries in NATO can see the picture.

Ukraine has already expressed interest to join NATO and NATO says it will consider its application. Ukraine parliament is in the process of abolishing its Non-alliance statute which bars it frm any arm alliance. If this statute is struck out by their parliament, I see no stopping Ukraine frm NATO membership. Even if the crisis is eventually resolved, ukraine will seek NATO's protection frm Russia because of the same bully-behavior currently being displayed in Eastern-Ukraine just as the Baltics did.
