Nigerian soldiers are turning back fleeing residents of Mubi in Adamawa State as they engage Boko Haram insurgents in an attempt to regain the town.

The soldiers are also said to be engaging in a fierce battle with members of the sect all through Sunday night and Monday morning to regain full control of Michika.

Fighter jets are bombing the hideouts of the insurgents while foot soldiers battle their locations around Michika local government area secretariat.

Executive Director of Stefanos, Mr. Mark Lipdo, quoting military sources in the battle field, said that the military are turning back Nigerians running out of Mubi in reaction to the news of insurgents approaching Mubi town.

A curfew is now in place to enable the military restore order as reports say that the military are gaining ground over the insurgents.

So it's true what cramjones said.. They've taken over michika.. God abeg help the NA..

Mubi was never captured, so what are they regaining ....
people were fleeing in from michika local government to mubi.....even soldiers were running from michika where bokoharam has now dominated....

well it might also interest you to know that adamawa state university has been closed down till further notice,
Federal polytechnic would have done same but they are writing exam......

as it is currently mubi is SAVE, but there's no entry only exit

Anybody playing ostrich and living in denial is the boko haram supporter .. Our Army doesn't have any short term or longterm strategy to deal with this rag tag insurgency

Enough of that already. Guerilla tactics that is used to capture a whole state? BH is no longer hiding. We are the ones now running away from them. IF NA wants to kill many BH, let them go to where BH is....Gwoza, Bama, Adamawa and Yola villages, etc. They will meet those guys there, not guerillas

Nigerian Army will definitely win this war. The NA should change strategy of combating this monsters. We should start being on the offensive.
