If you are based in Sokoto but graduated from UniPort, 4k will not be enough to travel to and fro and collect your call-up letter from your school . But if your base is less than 2OO km from your school, you have a right to complain about the 4k.

So to serve ur father land u must pay to do so?, u ask for new innovative ideas in Nigeria is now a crime too that u will have to pay nothing less than 4k?
Truth be told NySC has outlived it's relevance and for those saying it's none of their business because they have already served it's a pity because it's such careless statement that has gotten us as a country so backwards now, so so long as anything. That is wrong does not affect u it's none of ur business abi? Ok
Thank the Political platform crew on Ray Power have been using their medium to get the Govt attention.

The question is not why are you charging money but why are you charging so much money? Daylight robbery just like the introduction of nysc foundation fees in 2012.

What he is saying is that the nysc's reasons are unreasonable. Because prospective corp members will still travel to their schools for mobilisation, clearance, statement of results etc. After that, they will still TRAVEL to the camp they are posted and do one or two days of registration. The nysc should stop lying and exploiting helpless people. They can make it an optionif their cause is indeed noble. At least they have staff being paid with Nigeria's money to do the paperwork.

Security threat it's obvious in this our country today. Even our armed men are feeling the heat not to talk of a corper. To avoid stories that touch (fallen hero) why not we advocate for graduate empowerment. A system where every graduates will be empowered by given them a stipulated amount equivalent to the sum total of the allowee during service year. Looking at why the scheme was created it's aim has been defeated totally.

Everybody has right to complain. It is not about how far your location is from your school, it is about how much does this e-printing really worth. The distance shouldn't be their reason for exploitation.

But the corp members still need to travel to their schools to get their statements of results which they need for camp registration don't they?
What about those who live close to their schools, how will you justify spending N4000 for call up letters to them?

If only majority of Nigerian graduates have balls, this NYSC will be not exploited by corrupt government contractors.
Anyway, you asked for it when you elected GEJ to be your president.

1) You don;t have to travel to your school for mobilization after getting call up letter, you should proceed straight to camp
2) You should be able to round off clearance 1month after graduation except u'r not serious with the clearance issue
3) If your school is advanced and technologically inclined, there is no point traveling to collect statement of result, you should be able to print it online from your school portal.

Finally The N4,000 is optional for only those willing to reprint their call up letters in the case of loss/theft/damaged one.

Our problem is not with the initiative but the fact that money had to be involved. Nigerian Government, defrauding youths tey tey.

Mrs Olubunmi Aderibigbe, did you forget so soon that nigerians condemned Abba Moro for extorting N1000 from job seekers, now you guys are extorting N4000 from prospecting corpers. Who is even incharge of NYSC (the chief extorter)?

I don't understand you clearly, did you say the money is optional? If yes, no wahala. They should make it very clear that the money is optional for all prospective corps member.
1.Mobilisation is done BEFORE getting the call up letter. Is there anything done, or any plan to do anything by the nysc to stop pre-mobilisation?
2. I think the nysc should consider everyone, not just serious prospective corps members, whatever that means. Different scenarios play out at different times. Anybody can be on strike either nationwide or in a particular school from nasu to ssanu to ASUU to students. Senate takes varying times to approve stuff like results and co, department and faculties also vary in level of competence and efficiency.
3. Nigerian schools are not advanced or technologically inclined. This is an obvious fact. The ones that pretend to be will only corruptly further exploit by asking for another ridiculous money for scratch cards to be used on pitiable webpages to do more harm than good.
