Today 23rd September, the Akwa Ibom
State Government will be celebrating the 27th
anniversary of the state’s creation.
According to a release signed by the
Honourable Commissioner Ministry of
Information, Aniekan Umanah, this year’s
celebration which started on the Sunday the
21st with an inter-denominational
thanksgiving service at Ibom Hall, will end on
Tuesday the 23rd with a state banquet at the
prestigious Ibom Le Meridien Hotels & Resort.
This year’s celebration which has as its
theme “The God Of All Grace” has seen
Governor Godswill Akpabio commissioning the
following projects:
The Traditional Rulers’ Chambers
NTA Uyo Administrative Block
Essien Udim LGA Secretariat Complex
Obot Akara LGA Secretariat Complex/
Traditional Rulers Council Chambers
As well as other road projects
The Governor will also swear in the Chairman
of the Akwa Ibom State Traditional Rulers’
Council on the 23rd.
