You can boost your brain-power, improve memory and protect your brain against degeneration by putting these foods of many different colours into your diet to keep your brain young, fresh and alert.


Oily Fish – Oily fish can boost memory by 15% because it is rich in omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for brain function and development. At least 3 servings of fish each week will do great for boosting your brain power.

Boiled Eggs – They help to fight against brain shrinkage and also contains selenium which helps improve the mood.

Walnuts – Walnuts do a lot of good for the brain health as it contains nutrients that allow you to think more clearly and help you think positively because of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. They also have a protective yet soothing effect on the brain. These acids help to keep the blood circulation strong and healthy.

Crab – Crabs are packed with brain boosting nutrients most especially vitamin B12.

Brown Rice – Brown rice is good to maintain cardiovascular health. It contains carbohydrates and fiber which helps fuel the brain and keeps you full.

Olive Oil – Olive oil’s right amount of healthy fat is essential to clear thinking, good memory and a balanced mood.

Oatmeal – Oatmeal is packed with fiber, a reasonable amount of protein and even small amount of Omega-3. It will sustain and protect you from an energy crash.
