Do Nigerians studying abroad get better results than their foriegn counterparts academically?

Why do you think this is so? what factors account for this?

becuzz dose dat come from naija have got one thing in mind, to get their certificate and start getting that money. we know where we came from and what are expected of us especially those who are first child in their family. you cant really afford to let your family down so dis keeps motivating us to work hard and make good names for ourselves. we got culture and we know how it is like to study in naija with all thses strikes and whatnot, so when we get lucky and move over there, we make very good use of the opportunity we got. only a fool wont make good use of it.

TRADITION

It actually depends on what your defination of abroad is, but i want to believe you mean schools in 'better' continents like America and Europe.

Let me first say an individual student determines to a very large extent the success he or she records anywhere in the world both home and abroad. That been said, there is no doubt that schools abroad are better than our present day institutions here due to so many factors ranging from poor funding, bad management, quality of lecturers, archaic curriculums and so on. Hence, the products of our own schools tend to be of low quality to what we have over there.

However, the resilient nature of our own students atimes gives us an edge over the ones there.

Many Nigerian students to me are no dull brains, we are only limited by the non-working system we find ourselves.
