This thought came to me after observing my little boy stretch anytime he wakes up from sleep. I often wonder why human beings and animals(dogs for sure) stretches. Anytime we wake up from sleep, we stretch, anytime we are tired of sitting,lying down, we stretch. What is the biological(or chemical) cause of it and what does the body try to achieve by stretching? |
