If anyone here is cooking Thanksgiving dinner, What are U cooking? Whats gonna be for desert?

Mine is

Jollof Rice or Fried Rice(mom is not sure)
Turkey(from Food Lion)
Cake(From Food Lion)
Steak
Apple Pie(From Food Lion)

so far the menu looks like this:

Jollof rice
Veg. soup
pounded yam
fried plantains
Mac & cheese
Greens
Turkey
Turkey Ham
rotsire chicken
mashed potatoes
Gravy
Stuffing
black eyed peas
cherry pie

All made from scratch. . . I will be cooking all day

One thing about AA,They sure know how to cook.No wonder my uncle was happy to go to his mother--in-law for thanksgiving!!

Final menu with cooking times;

Turkey – 7 hours in oven by 7am

Roastire Chicken – 2 hours in by 1pm

Mac and Cheese – 1 hour in by 2:30 pm

Sweet potatoes – 1 hour in by 2

Mashed potatoes – 1 hour in by 2

Greens – 2 hours in by 1 pm

Roasting garlic 45 mins in 350o oven.

Veg. soup – 1 hour in by 2

Pounded yam -15 mins start at 3

Jollof rice – 1 hour start at 2

Fried plantains – 15 mins start at 3:30

Cherry pie – put in oven at 3:00 to cook while eating 45 mins.

Black eye peas – 5 hours start at 9 am

Gravy – 20 mins

Deviled eggs 30 mins start at noon in frig to chill

Potato Salad

We love to cook we do.

I will start tonight doing most of the prep work, then back up at 7 am but most of it will start at noon. I am so excited and nervous as hubby just added 3 more guests to the list because he wants to show off my cooking.
