Nice place. The last time I was there the journey seems too long. Have the roads improved?

the roads are still bad. journey started in owerri, went to abakaliki, then from there to Obudu town. that's like 5 to 7k. stayed in a hotel in Obudu town , about 5 to 9 k a night. the town has issues with electricity; none for the past 5 months. got a hotel that had a generator that ran from 7pm to 7am. took two power banks, a laptop and portable TV-DVD player with over 200 films to keep me busy. hired a tour guide from the town, about 3-4k per day, transport to the range itself is 2-3k. accommodation in the range is between 25k to 150k. the cable car cost 1k one-way and 1k5 return trip. feeding depends on where you eat; between N 500 to 3k. tickets to visit various aspects of the range cost between 400 and 800.

think I spent 50 to 70k for a 5 day vacation. do not drive on the snake road if you value your life. if possible, you take a bike or get a local driver; there are spots along the snake road that are perfect for picnics. you can also buy strawberries from the locals. make sure you visit the forbidden mountain.

while at the range, you forget about life's issues and simply marvel at the beauty of nature, feel like eagle while above the clouds and leave all your troubles behind. you might be lucky; sometimes universal studios use the range to act out some scenes of films there.

after Obudu,I continued my vacation in calaber. love that town.
