Event Management and Decoration, Smallchops/Cocktail Training

The first 3 Days – Lecture Phase – will consist of in-class learning. During this phase, students will grow in their understanding of event planning and management through the teachings of experienced speakers. Students will also learn from one another through in-class and small group discussions.

After the lecture phase, students will have many practical opportunities to apply what they learned during the apprenticeship phase. For 4 weeks, students will put the classroom into action as they plan and prepare different Event Theme.

Outcomes

Through the EMT, students will have:

Stronger leadership skills
The ability to pioneer new events and programs that will impact communities
Greater effectiveness in leading, planning, and managing events of all sizes
A better understanding of how to build event Themes
An increased effectiveness in team settings
The ability to multiply effective events leaders.
Graduates will have experienced the many facets of event management ranging through research, planning, programming, marketing, financing and analyzing events.
