Kano state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said two governors in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC, soon.

Kwankwaso disclosed this on Monday when he paid a courtesy visit to his Kwara state counterpart, Abdulfatah Ahmed.

The Kano governor also said members of the APC are practical people who have extensive grassroots reach to tackle corruption and other issues of national importance.



On the 2015 Presidential election, Kwankwaso said the APC would explore the possibility of a consensus presidential candidate in line with democratic processes.

He also commended the Kwara state government for its poverty alleviation and youth empowerment programmes.

Governor Ahmed on his own part said the APC is the fastest growing and only truly national party in Nigeria.
