EPISODE SIX[part two]

****

As many often say, a man without a problem is a problem to the world, Frank had been down because he felt he had made a huge mistake. At first, he knew there was no one to replace Vivian, yet he sacked her. Though, he was no longer concerned if Vivian had given birth before, all he wanted was to send Anthony abroad so that he could get married to Vivian.

He accelerated slowly as he took his eyes off the track periodically, just to check on Gregory who was accompanying him. He kept sighing, hoping Vivian would accept him as he drove on, but on the other hand, he didn't want her son.

He finally came down at the front of the house, striking his beard as he leaned against his car and waited for Greg to park. He stared at the building until Gregory got to his side. "Let's go in." He tapped him.

"Very well." He smiled and led the way.

****

Craig couldn't control his happiness as he hugged Doris. "What really happened?" He asked, holding her two hands.

"I don't even know, I can't say what happened precisely." She replied him, trying to pull her right hand, she was feeling some pain, probably because it was strained and tied.

"Sorry." Craig helped her pull the hand and smiled. "My thought had gone wild, I have been searching for you. But, I still don't understand this. Is this the work of Chief Sam?"

Doris swooshed out a long breath and found her voice again. "I can't tell, but I have a strong feeling that he was the one."

"In this kingdom, if there's no evidence, one can't be jailed." He muttered, hissing as he took his face away.

Doris smiled. "If he was the one, you should know surely that he would he caught someday."

Craig smiled too. "But how did he investigation go with him?"

"I have this feeling that his hands aren't clean, he has a lot to do with the death of the couple."

    Craig sighed. "His reactions, right?"

"Yes. Even the way he kept speaking, he was just blabbing as If he wasn't moved."

"Though, some people are just like that. But, one shouldn't be that way when it comes to investigation. You should get some rest, I will get to the root of this matter, I won't rest until the people who have done this are caught!"

Doris smiled. "I trust you, team mate."

Craig grinned. "But, there's one thing I forgot.. who helped? How did you escape?"

Doris looked away. Nicholas? She had thought, breathing heavily.

****

"Good evening, we want to see Vivian." Frank told Anthony as he opened the gate.

    "Good evening, Sirs." He smiled.

"Thanks, we want to see Vivian." Frank repeated.

"Vivian?" Who bears the name?" He enquired.

"A beautiful lady with her son." Gregory replied.

Anthony smiled. "What are your names? Let me go and tell my mum."

"Mum? Are you her son?" Frank asked quickly.

    He smiled. "Yes, I am."

Frank hissed faintly. "Alright. Tell her Frank, her boss is here."

"You're mum's boss? I am coming." He shut the door and rushed into the house.

****

"I don't know the person, he didn't remove the cloth used to block my view till he drove away." Doris replied Craig.

"That guy must have guts. Those that kidnapped you can't be ordinary people, how come he did everything successfully?" Craig wondered.

"He was a brave man. I am sure he tried to trick the men before he took me away. By the way, I think he was the one who shot one of the men at the first house I was taken to." She said, still trying to link events.

"So you've been taken to a place at first?" Craig asked.

"Yes, I was taken to a house. But, there was a rebel between the guys and probably the person who helped me, so I was vacated."

"You still never heard a name, not even one?" Craig enquired.

She thought for a while before she remembered. "I heard when one of them made a call and said his fellow named Mark had been shot." She said.

Craig heaved a sigh of relieve. "Alright, let me go and drop you off."

"Thanks." Doris smiled and stood slowly.

"My concern is just how the person who helped you got to know what was happening."

****

Vivian's eyes widened as she heard Frank's name. "Why on earth did you open the gate for a stranger?" She questioned Anthony.

"I only opened it to see the faces of the men." Anthony sat down throwing a gaze at his mother.

She frowned. "Have I not told you that you shouldn't open the gate without knowing the people at the gate? You won't learn that!"

"Mum, did you resign? What is your boss doing here?" Anthony asked.

She hissed and stood up. "Don't ask me any question because you've annoyed me by opening that gate. Once you enquire about the person at the door, you should always come back to tell me!"

Anthony smiled. "Alright mum." He replied.

Vivian wiped her forehead as she took some steps and walked out of the living room to check on Frank. She opened the gate and wore a frown as she stared at him. "Good evening." She greeted, placing her right hand on the gate.

"I'm happy you came out to meet me." Frank smiled. "I'm sorry concerning my reaction, I came to apologize." He said as he glimpsed a his friend.

"Yeah, that's what we came for, please forgive him." Gregory cut in.

Vivian smiled. "I am not angry, if I was angry I wouldn't come out."

"That's nice to hear, when will you now return back to your duty post?"

Vivian tilted her head. "Duty post? Immediately I left the company, my husband got me a work in his company." She smiled.

"Husband?" Frank repeated, widening his eyes.

"Yes, you know I have given birth, don't you? So, my husband got me a new job."

"But you have never told the company about your marital status as married." Frank said, looking disappointed.

"We just got back together." She replied.

"Oh, thanks." Greg pulled Frank as they left and Vivian shut the door.

****

"She did what?" Chief Sam's phone dropped on the floor as he quickly reached for it again. "Just don't tell me that girl escaped."

He sunk into his seat as he swallowed, covered with sweat as if a glass cup was covered with mist. "You are all dead!" He shouted as he stood again, ready to leave the company.

****

Nicholas kept grinning on his seat as he confirmed that Chief had received the shocking call from his friends. He was glad he could manage to get Doris away from him.

He cleared his throat as he picked up his eye glasses. "I will finish my business with this man, tomorrow." He said, contorting his mouth with a smile. "Thank you God."

He was getting afraid to approach Doris, though, he knew she didn't see him, but he knew she might suspect he was the one. He stood up and placed his iPad inside the wardrobe. Then, he change his dress and walked out of the house.

The weather was cool, the wind was blowing in with a fast velocity, carrying particles along. He looked into the sky and smiled to himself. "It's going to rain." He said as he rushed back inside to shut his windows and headed to Doris' place to check if she had returned back home.

He walked slowly, enjoying the breeze and the scene of the children trying to pack their things into the house because of the rain. He was looking around till he got near the house and saw Doris as she came down from Craig's car.

He smiled and walked closer. "Doris!" He called and rushed closer. "Craig, a wonderful evening to you." He extended his hand for an handshake from him.

"Yeah, how was the day?"

"It was nice, thanks." He grinned and waved at him. "You should get going, it will start raining."

"Thanks, Doris take good care of yourself and call me instantly, if there's any problem." Craig waved at Doris.

"Alright, thanks." Doris waved back and turned to Nicholas. "How are you?"

Nicholas just smiled, masking his feelings well. "I'm really good, you?"

"I was kidnapped today." She informed as she opened the door amd both of them walked in.

"Don't tell me! What happened? Hope you weren't beaten? What really happened?" He quickly asked, making his surprise well known.

"So you never knew I was kidnapped." Doris smiled and motioned further.

"How would I know? Tell me, what happened?" He enquired, trying as much as possible to improve his pretense.

"I can't tell, but I suspect Chief Sam." She replied.

"Chief Sam?" He asked, taking his eyes off her for a moment, pretending as if he wanted to remember who Chief Sam was. "Ooh.. I think I now know the man. What happened between you both? Why would he try to kidnap you?"

"I went for investigation, then I left the company. As I was going, the taxi that carried me was crossed and before raising my head to know what was really happening, I was taken away."

"I trust Craig, he was the one who came to help you, right?"

"No, I don't know the person. But, one thing I just suspect is that... the person wore the exact perfume you do use. When he carried me, the height I noticed, even though I was blindfolded, was just like your height."

Nicholas froze.

EPISODE SEVEN

 ****

Nicholas smiled, walking inside the house with Doris. "This is really a very big shock, a really big one." He said, trying to be by Doris' side.

Doris turned and looked at him. "What were you thinking? I know you very well, you are so timid to take such a bold step the guy took. By the way, I was rushed into a car, it seems the guy has a car of his own, but you don't." She chuckled.

"My ultimate surprise is just concerning the perfume. You know how expensive and scarce this perfume is, I don't think I have ever met someone that has used it before. Are you sure the perfume worn by the person was just like mine?"

Doris curved her lips into a smile. "Surely, it was like yours. By the way, there's nothing to worry about, you alone can't be the one using the perfume, don't you know?"

He grinned and sat down. "That's true, just surprised."

"I feel so lucky, only God knows what must have happened to me."

"Let me get you something  prepared, so that we can have dinner early." Nicholas stood up and walked to the kitchen.

****

"What's my own business with that of The Unknown? You guys are always fucking me up, why!" Chief Sam exclaimed, walking to and fro.

He had been abberant for minutes, trying to get everything together. He speculated that he was In trouble already, his only certitude was the fact that there was no evidence to be used against him.

He began to wonder who The Unknown was. He had been crossing his path for some days, making life godforsaken  for him and his men. He who was a giant man, he had started feeling so afraid of the guy who had made himself unknown to them.

He had brewed for minutes, if he could link The Unknown together with someone, but, he wasn't sure of who he could really call him. He couldn't tell if he was one of the sons of those he had murdered so far, but he knew he had something to do with the case of the contracts he just won.

He had been riley and overwhelmed with thoughts as he sat down and made his guards kneel before him. He felt like killing all the men, wondering how stupid they were and how far The Unknown had gone with him. What if he has let out the secret to the lady? He wondered, sighing continuously. "You are all mad!" He bawled out of his anger, scratching his head.

After some minutes that he had calmed down, he giggled and spoke.

"Don't you think The Unknown is connected to this lady in question?" Chief Sam asked his men.

"He might be. The concern is just about how he was able to locate this place again. Boss, don't you think this guy has planted something?" One of the guards said.

"How can I trust you people too? Who knows if there's anyone who's leaking out the secret? And, this guy is someone I don't know, what could he have done?"

"He came here the other day and stabbed Major, who knows what he came to do? Who knows what he planted in that house?"

Chief Sam reasoned. "That's true, but, the fact is that I wasn't at home when we planned to take her to home, how come he knew?"

"It is either something has been planted in your office or there's really a traitor here." Another spoke out.

Chief chuckled. "How would he have kept my office under surveillance? Does it mean you guys don't do you work there well?"

"No boss, that might have happened when you allowed someone into your office, don't you think we should search your office tomorrow?"

"Alright, let's keep expecting tomorrow." He stood up and walked inside the house.

****

"To pay just a little sum of money is taking you eternity, isn't it?" Harry accused Queen Katherine as he picked up his mist-covered cup of wine and drank.

"Harry, please keep down your voice, you're in the palace." Queen Katherine said, looking so afraid as she moved closer to him. "Don't do this to me, don't."

Harry laughed wickedly. "What won't I do? You just want me to tell the highness the truth of the matter, isn't that what you're driving at? I will be pleased to do that too, though I will be affected."

"Harry, don't worry, I will pay the money into your account next week."

"No need to wait for next week, I will send the prince the gift of his birthday tomorrow, let's see how he will react." He grinned and stood up. "Don't let everyone start suspecting me, you are a married woman and you can't be with another man for so long." He grinned as he walked out with his cup of wine.

Queen Katherine plopped down the sofa, looking so frustrated. "It more than five years." She muttered.

****

"He came for you again, why would you lie to him? Vivian!" Victoria walked removed her sandals.

"Do you think I have been joking? I don't want anyone that will later be maltreating my son, it's written all over him that he doesn't like my son."

"But you should have accepted his offer, you have no other work for now."

"I know what I just told him will keep me at arm length from me."

"Anyways, it's your decision." Victoria stood up and walked inside the house.

    She relaxed, remembering Nicholas again.

****

"Now that the food is done, I have to leave." Nicholas informed Doris as he stepped out of the kitchen.

"Leave? What if these dangerous people come in?"

"Firstly, don't have weird thoughts. Secondly, you should relax your mind and moreover you know how afraid I might be if I see anyone. I can't face bad guys oh."

Doris grinned. "That's it, someone like you can never come somewhere to save someone." She stood up and punched his left shoulder.

Nicholas chuckled an held on to his shoulder. "You haven't stopped this act, when will you stop?"

She laughed. "But wait, why would you leave after cooking? That wasn't the plan from the scratch."

Nicholas smiled. "I just remembered tomorrow is Prince's birthday, my band was invited to come there to perform." He told her.

"That's nice. But, I still don't like this lifestyle of yours. You should still find a good job so that this music will just be a small business beside the real one."

"I am still thinking on what to do."

"You have never finished thinking, only God knows the day you will finish thinking."

He chortled. "At least, I will conclude this one before thinking of another."

"Just go and prepare, I know you'll be paid heavily." She winked.

"I have to call Henry, they should have paid part of the money." He said walking out. "I might come back to check on you, Doris." He said and rushed out.

I have to prepare for Chief's operation tomorrow. He thought as he rushed back to his place.

****

"Boss, we just thought of another thing." One of Chief's men approached him as he walked out."

"What?" He questioned, still looking so angry.

"Don't you think if I get that lady kidnapped again, The Unknown might show up again? We can get him that way."

"That is true, but who knows her house?" He enquired.

They all kept staring at one another.

****

"I was almost caught!" Nicholas slammed the door as he entered into the room.

He brought out his iPad quickly and the mp3 player he had. He unlocked the iPad and inserted a new  media card into the device. He copied the important voice notes on the memory card and he removed it and kept it in a small envelope.

"Tomorrow is the D-day." He sighed as he started thinking on how he would get Chief Sam the very next day.

****

Nicholas brought out a new white shirt from his wardrobe. He took a glimpse at the wall clock and dressed up quickly. "If one isn't a criminal, why would he keep guards by his side?" He wondered, dressing quickly so he could catch up with his plans for chief.

He brought out the envelope where he kept the media card and inserted it into a bigger brown envelope. He picked up his eye glasses and walked out of the house.

He was carrying a school bag and on the other hand, the brown envelope.

****

Nicholas parked by the road to Chief's office. He waited for a while and noticed he hardly saw a car pass. He rushed to the nearby bush and pulled out a big log of wood to the road so that the car would stop instantly they get that.

He moved his car forward and parked it in a more hidden place before he walked swiftly and hid himself by the bush with a rag that had been soaked in chloroform in his hand.

Soon, he saw his car coming and it halted immediately the big log of wood was met. He noticed there were only two guards with him and they have gotten down to remove the log away from the way.

He felt afraid but pulled up stake and opened the door quickly, covering chief's nose and mouth with the rag, soon, he knocked him out.

As he was pulling him out of the car, the guards turned around and he pointed the gun at them. "If you play pranks, you will die." He told them as he ordered them to walk into the bush.

He didn't blink his eye, still pointing the gun at the guys and warned them never to look back at him or he would kill them. He clinched that they entered deeper before he lugged Chief Sam to his car and brought his head out quickly, pointing the gun at the direction where he told the guys to walk through.

He breath heavily as he hopped into his car quickly and sped off. Chief had sent his other men to be searching for Vivian earlier, hoping the two guys left would be alright to stay with him in the office.

EPISODE SEVEN[part two]

****

Nicholas neglected the sharp bends and spikes as he drove as if he was being chased. He was glancing at Chief periodically, making his way to one of the thickest forests in the Kingdom.

He swallowed as he jumped down from the vehicle and brought out the bag. He fast-tracked to the other side of the car and pulled Chief Sam out of the car. He had parked the car in a secured place and carried Chief Sam up, turning his back at him, he fixed his hands in between his armpits and dragged him along, till he was satisfied that no one would notice that anything was going on.

As he opened his bag, he brought out a very long and thick rope which he used to tie Chief saw to the tree. He was already sweating and his white shirt with blotches. He brought out a small towel which he tied round his mouth. He let out a long breath as he sat on the floor, staring at him.

He remembered what he had to get done and rushed up to his feet again. He dipped his hands into his pockets and got his phone. He listened to the voice calls the phone had recorded so far and deleted the gratuitous ones. He removed the media card he used for the phone and outstretched his hand quickly, for the envelope.

He brought out a flier of his new signature- 'The Unknown' and dropped it on the floor before Chief Sam there. He knew if he didn't kidnap him, the evil man might plan to run away or waste more lives.

He brought out a pen and another sheet of paper, writing down the description of where he tied Chief Sam. After, he packed his things, he seated and waited for him to wake up, putting his mask on.

****

Craig had picked Doris up so he could know how she was fairing. He had been worried about her, if she was safe, until he saw her that morning. He was chuffed that he could see the shining lady out again. At first, he nixed her going to work that day, at least she got into trouble earlier and she had to rest.

Doris never conceded as she hopped into his car quickly as hit him by his shoulder to drive quickly. One thing she like was to hit someone by the shoulder and shine a grin after.

She was strong, Craig knew and smiled he had a wonderful team mate. He drove her to work happily and both walked to the office together.

****

"I don't want you or your friends to drink in a wrong manner, a good and reasonable man won't drink excessively." King Dennis told Prince Edward as he smiled beside him.

"The Prince isn't that kind of a person too, he wouldn't do that." Harry cut in, exposing his teeth.

Prince glistened a frowned at him and smiled after. He had started hating him for making life hard for him. He got annoyed when he was told Harry had gotten to the palace that morning, to wish him a happy birthday.

"That's true." Queen Katherine supported Harry.

Harry gave her a bad look that she only could decode what it meant. "I trust my son. So, when is your party getting started?" King Dennis enquired.

"It will start latest by noon and till midnight." He smiled.

"It's nice, I like it the fact that you wish to celebrate you birthday in the palace and not a civic center or a hotel." Harry chimed in again.

Edward shook his head wondering how foolish Harry was. At least, he had strut his stuff at him in different ways that he didn't like him and didn't want him to interfere in the discussion. He had no volition because he was the King's brother but everyone knew he was a tough guy too.

"I have a special gift for you on this occasion." The King smiled at Edward, expecting him to ask of what the gift was.

"So, what Dad?" Edward grinned, anticipating to know what it really was.

"Alright, come in!" He said and a lady walked in.

Prince Edward was wowed as he saw the lady walk in, astonishing and beautiful. She was simply a knockout, a light and ravishing lady. If that was really the gift, he would never reject it. He kept smiling, licking his lower lips to show that he really liked the lady. "Dad, is this?" He narrowed his eyes with a wider grin.

"Yes. This is the daughter of Engineer Ashley, one of the directors of the consummate Della Companies."

"This is a great gift!" Harry jammed his hands together, admiring the lady.

Prince just scintillated a bad look at him for a moment and hissed silently before returning his gaze at the lady. "Dad, what's her name?" He enquired.

"I won't tell you the rest, you should take a walk and get to know each other better." King patted his back.

"Alright, Dad." He stood happily and held her left hand. The lady was also smiling, beautiful in her wine glitzy gown that had flower decorations around it.

"Don't take long, Prince." Harry said as Edward walked out with the lady.

"Don't you think it's high time he got married?" King smiled as he spoke with his brother.

"Yes now, he's old enough. By the way, the custom of the Kingdom is that his wife must have given birth before he becomes the King."

"Yes, Harry. That's what I am trying to get done." Both laughed, Queen just kept watching the two, smiling too.

Chief Sam's eyes popped open. His vision was still blur as he tried to rotate his head but met himself fixed at the point. Nicholas stood quickly on seeing him open his eyes. He waited for him to get to his normal senses, rotating him till he could speak out. "The Unknown?"

Nicholas chuckled. "I'm glad you know who you are dealing with." He brought out his gun and moved closer.

"What have I done?" Chief Sam trepidated.

"You can still ask me? After killing a lot of people to get this fame and popularity, you still can ask me?" He made his voice sound angrier.

"Please help me, I will give you whatever you want." Chief Sam begged him.

He laughed. "What I want is for you to tell me the other people that joined you to kill the people you have killed." Nicholas said. "That's why I brought you here, I need to know others."

    "Please, don't kill me."

"I never knew you would be as soft as this." He laughed out. "Tell me your other fellows in the game!" He shouted.

"No one... I didn't kill.." Chief Sam started stuttering.

Nicholas was infuriated and grabbed him by his throat. "Don't mess around with me becase I can kill you here!"

"Okay... I will speak." He said and Nicholas released his throat and moved backwards.

"Promise me you won't kill me.."

"So, you fear death a lot too. You kill people as if you are God, you kidnap as if you are the mightiest on earth." He pointed the gun at him.

"Please don't kill me." Chief begged him again, shivering already.

"I said tell me the names of others!"

    "Em.. Engineer..Engineer As..Ashley." He stammered.

"Engineer Ashley." Nicholas repeated and picked up his bag. He walked to the back of the tree and ensured that Chief Sam was well tied up before he left.

He rushed to where he parked his car and was shocked to meet what he couldn't believe.
