Team news, match facts, manager quotes and
odds ahead of the Champions League
encounter between Real Madrid and Liverpool
at the Bernabeu.
Holders Real Madrid have been in imperious
form in the competition thus far and will be
confident of making it four wins from four
games as they take on opponents they beat
away from home a fortnight ago.
Real, now top of La Liga, are on a club
record of 11 straight wins in all competitions
as they host five-times European champions
Liverpool in Group B, having beaten them
3-0 at Anfield on matchday three.
And with Cristiano Ronaldo in scintillating
form, the hosts are heavy favourites against
Liverpool, who could start with captain
Steven Gerrard on the bench.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers admitted
that he considers Saturday's Premier League
clash with Chelsea more important than the
match in the Spanish capital and he could
opt to rest several players, including his
skipper.
TEAM NEWS
The world's most expensive player Gareth
Bale is set to feature for Real, either from the
start or off the bench, having recovered from
a thigh injury. But Carlo Ancelotti will not be
able to call on Jesé (knee), Dani Carvajal
(hamstring), Fábio Coentrão (knee), Asier
Illarramendi (unspecified), Sami Khedira
(unspecified).
Steven Gerrard could be demoted to the
bench in a bid to rest him ahead of the
weekend's domestic fixture with Chelsea,
while Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers
has said it is "highly unlikely" that Daniel
Sturridge will play as the England striker
continues to recover from a calf injury.
Raheem Sterling may also be rested, while
summer signings signings Lazar Markovic
and Adam Lallana could be in line to start at
the Bernabeu.

MANAGER QUOTES
Carlo Ancelotti: "We have a serious side. I
don’t think that we will lose. [Mario] Balotelli
is spoken of a lot, maybe too much. He has
quality and is at a side where they are not
playing well. They have lost [Luis] Suarez
who scored a lot and they need another
solution. But I don’t think all of Liverpool’s
problems are about Balotelli. He needs to do
his work for the side, that’s all that can be
asked of him. The coach needs to find the
right system with the new players."
Brendan Rodgers : "Cristiano Ronaldo at this
moment in time is probably the best player in
the world ... This week and these games
against the likes of Real Madrid I see as a
great opportunity for the squad – you put
them out there and you put your trust in
them to perform. In Steven’s case, if he is
playing on Saturday I have to look at what is
the priority for him and us. If he played
against Newcastle and didn’t play tomorrow
night you could say that was the priority.
We're still very much in the group to qualify,
which is the objective. It's a big ask playing
against arguably the best team in the world
at the moment. But we'll go into it with
confidence."

At this pace and at our current form (teamMadrid) it's a win/win situation..the least u could get is an honorable loss, maybe 5-0 since we only pounded them by 3goals to nothing at Anfield

Re: Real Madrid Vs Liverpool : UCL (1 - 0 ) On 4th November 2014 by AmNotDrunk(m): 7:28pm On Nov 04, 2014
Things that are more likely to happen tonight than Liverpool winning.
1. Ronaldo breaking the UCL all time top scorer record.
2. Liverpool conceding 5 goals in the first half.
3. Mario Baloteli switching jersey before kick off.
4. Liverpool not to have a single shot at goal.
5. Iker Cassilas to score a brace today.
6. Madrid to win by a two figure score line.
7. Brendan Rodgers to be pissed off with his sides performance and decide to trek back to England.

BTW Uefa have rated the match +18 so don't worry kids ain't watching. I just hope Real don't use the "rear entrance" tonight cuz Liverpool players won't be able to seat on there flight back home.
