Court sacks Pinnick and NFF Executive Committee The Amaju Pinnick led Nigeria Football Federation board has been shown the exit door by a Plateau state high court on Thursday Oct 23, 2014 17:53:00The Nigeria Football Federation board headed by Amaju Pinnick has been sacked by a Plateau state high court on Thursday. In granting the order, Justice Ambrose Allagoa said the NFF election conducted in Warri were direct flouting of the orders of the court granted on September 19, 2014 which directed that the NFF congress not to hold. "I have set aside all the proceedings and decisions of the Warri Extra Ordinary meeting of the 20th September and the Elective Congress of 30th September which were direct contravention of the orders of this court as granted on the 19th September,’ said Justice Allagoa. "Nobody should foist on the court a complete case of hopelessness so that the principles of law and justice can be upheld. "It’s not enough to say that the order of court was wrongly made, no matter how unorthodox, its subsisting orders, unless set aside, remains law and must be respected. "Defendants in this matter have not filed any counter affidavits in this court to contest the facts. There is neither motion nor Memorandum of Appearance. This is a court of Record. On this note, the court has no option to protect the integrity and sanctity of court. Court orders are not tea party. Nobody is above the law. Impunity must be stopped. Justice Allagoa has fixed November 25, 2014 for hearing of substantive matters in the case. www.goal.com |

When Stephen Keshi said NFF was not serious, he was not wrong. You now see how the football body has turned to a joke? They fired a coach who has achieved a lot for Super Eagles. Foolish set of unserious elements. Mynd44 please move this yeye story to sports section! |

The only FIFA recognized court that can decide on football and other sports matters is CAS. Giwa should know better. It's pretty clear why govt and it's apparatus should hands off sports matters: too many irresponsible distractions |

I pity Giwa, bcs if fifa gets to hear this we are automatically banned till may next year when fifa will hold their exralordinary congress. And that mean falcons will not be able to play their AWC final on Saturday and nigeria's football will stand still for almost a year just bcs of greed and selfshyness of a man called GIWA. I know he Giwa will ever live to regret his action!!!! I rest my case for now. |
