Weight of the chipped rocked is less that the rock on the platform so it will only rock it a bit without touching C. That makes C safe.

The chipped/ hollow portion of the chipped rock will be on D's head at that point when it rolls down so D is also safe.

E is safe because based on the arrangement, the heavy rock will remain on the platform because it is heavier than the chipped one.

The stone rolls down with momentum.
D is safe as his head fits into the groove in the stone as it rolls past him.
C is safe cos the rolling stone is not heavy enough to depress the ledge.

The rolling stone bounces off the little projection on the ledge which sends it flying towards the heavy stone.
The heavy stone then deflects it towards the poor guy A.
