INSURGENCY: SOUTHEAST OFFICERS TO PLAN SELF-DEFENSE
Retired Senior Security Officers Prepare Against Boko Haram Attack
Southeast, Delta and Middle Belt Activists Plan Joint Future Defense
--Attorney Patryk Utulu

Business mogul, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has called on Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership to hold an urgent meeting comprising of retired senior security officers of South-East origin to discuss security measures to safeguard the Southeast against the expected expansion of a militarily-rising Boko Haram terrorists.

Iwuanyanwu urged Ohaneze to immediately form a Security Committee consisting of retired senior officers of the Army, Navy and Police to work with the governors of the 5 States of the Southeast against the ceaseless upsurge in the insurgency. Iwuanyanwu was only channeling the conclusion of a cross section of Southeast/Delta/Middle Belt leading organizations that it is no longer a matter of if but when Boko Haram would expand its terrorist activities to specifically target the Three Heartlands of Nigerian Christianity. Captured Boko Haram operatives revealed the group's Southeast plan.

Though Iwuanyanwu was the first high-profile individual to publicly demand action many other non-governmental organizations of Delta and Southeast Igbos have been working furiously to perfect various plans and simulations to defend Delta and the Southeast. Privately-funded plans for fortification and defense of Southeast and Delta have been accelerating in the last 12 months with guarded meetings in Nigeria and in Diaspora. For example:

(1): Several retired senior Military/Police officers of South-East and Delta State origin met in Ghana for 3 days in April and for 4 days in June, 2014. Three leaders of these Southeast-Delta meetings told me that the MUTUAL DEFENSE PROTOCOL under development was due partly to tribal kinship but mainly due to defense experts’ conclusion that the most efficient way to defend the Southeast is to also fortify Delta as "spear" of Igbo Heartland.

(2): Two high-profile meetings were held in Yaoundé, Cameroun August 13-15 and September 22-25 under the aegis of SOUTHEAST DELTA NEVER-AGAIN PROJECT. The striking thing about the meetings in Yaounde is that 5 retired military officers of Middle Belt origins were in attendance. We are still trying to confirm the exact reasons for the presence of the Middle Belt officers but there are strong indications that Middle Beltans have concluded that they are the next target of Boko Haram. Since Middle Belt, Southeast and Delta make up the Three Heartlands of Nigerian Christianity it seems sensible that the Middle Belt would see a defense alliance as natural.

(3): Similar meetings of ex-Military officers and civilian leaders of Southeast and Delta origins are taking place at frequent intervals in Nigeria, Europe, USA and Canada. I was reliably informed that the well-funded "Group for Defense of Delta-Southeast Against Terrorism" (GODSEAT) hosted a large meeting in Vancouver, Canada, from May 17-22, 2014. Multiple sources said that many delegates came from Europe to Canada by chartered flight.

PRIVATE INITIATIVES: NO GOVERNMENT FUNDS/OFFICIALS USED

I gathered that while Chief Iwuanyanwu wants Ohaneze Ndigbo to partner with Nigeria Police Force and the governors of the 5 Southeastern States to guard against Boko Haram’s expected expansion into the Southeast other anti-Boko Haram Defense Initiatives are completely non-governmental and privately funded by Southeast/Delta Igbos in Nigeria and Nigerian Diaspora.

As "Southeast Delta Never-Again Project" leader, Phillip Ndu Okigbo, (who lost 9 family members in a 1967 Kano massacre), told me, “Boko Haram will unfailingly come for the Igbos so all Igbos must get ready to kill them first.”

The emboldened is my philosophy.
Time for negotiation is long gone.

I said it before that East is the bastion of Christianity in Nigeria and as such must not buy into the mantra of 'One Nigeria' in which violent and political Islam is gone rogue. If current world events are to be our guide, we know that Islamists save their worst for Christian enclaves.

The list is endless - from Iraq to Syria, Egypt to Indonesia, Jihadists would rather commit suicide en-mass than leave Christian communities standing in any society they over-run. We need to stop listening to so-called 'moderate' Muslims' sweet-talks. They're only good at telling us how peaceful Islam is and how not every Muslim is a terrorist. Those sweet talks didn't save the 'infidels' in Iraq and Syria and it would certainly not save us at the darkest hour.

Docile Christians need to know that in some of the communities taken over by ISIS some of the 'moderate muslims' joined ISIS criminals in bashing the heads of new born babies whose parents were Christians - search the net and find out the veracity of the story.

Islam is a community, it's more of a political nation than a spiritual organization. It's highly expansionist and territorial, hence if you're not an adherent you're not truly a brother. That you're a brother or a neighbor of 20yrs won't save you if and when a situation boils down to Islam vs you or whatever it is they're always fighting.

In the event Boko Haram over-runs the land the following is likely to happen:
1) Hardcore Muslims will be safe.
2) Few moderate Muslims will be exterminated.
3) All non-Muslims are guaranteed to be exterminated, aka BEHEADED.

Never forget where you belong in the list above.

You're right. I used to be hopeful that, at least somehow, there has to be moderates in Islam who completely believe in the right of non-Muslims to be whoever or whatever they so desire. But events in last 2 years have ruptured my hope. When one looks at what goes on in Muslim dominated countries - what becomes of the rights of minorities in such societies - one can't help but shudder in shock.

We're the only majority Christian block in this country and we're also one of the few groups in this hemisphere not tainted by Islamic contagion. We've lived with and around this religion for as long as our fathers can remember, but at the same time we've remained immuned to its charm and threat, not even after the civil war - a time our fathers were down and out yet they refused to be cajoled or lured into it. Today, it's clear to Jihadists that as much as we're ready and willing to live side by side with Islam we will certainly not be part of it.

Given Eastern people's covert and uncompromising stand on Islam there's no doubt that if and when the jihadists amass the liver to attack they will certainly come for us. Take a look at what's happening to minorities in Iraq and Syria, remember what happened to South Sudanese minorities in the hands of Janjawed militia, and then checkout the slow and steady encroachment of Wahabbi Jihadists in the Middle Belt - you can see a pattern that never stops until it comes to ahead in which thousands end up losing their lives.

These people do not know what it means to stop so we need to be prepared. I'm glad men with foresight are beginning to exchange views.

Can anyone blame any group that decides to leave Nigeria at this moment? The core north has shown itself to be an eternal drag and clog to this country's match to modernity and greatness. In 2014 they're still killing each other like barbarians. There's no stop to their killings and all indications show that if Nigeria remains one for another 100 years, Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri will still be very much in killing business.

It's beginning to dawn on many groups in Nigeria, especially the Middle Belt, that as long as Core North is still part of this nation, their probability of peaceful existence in this hemisphere is far lesser than a 100 million dollar straight flush in Vegas. I believe that folks have come to 2 realizations which are: either Hausa-Fulanis are naturally and genetically murderous or their religion and culture expressly approves it - either way, it's doom and gloom for whoever is their neighbor. This realization is the reason Middle Belt is looking towards East for back-up because they know, and for obvious reasons, that it's only the East that can dam*n the torpedoes and go for a head-on collision with the Jihadists.

They know Nigeria will never save anyone. They're aware we all live in a compromised country, hence the culture of kill or be killed is likely going to be with us perhaps until the final end. So, they would be the biggest fools not to start planning for a serious and tested back-up. My gut-feeling is that 2015 is either going to be won or rigged by GEJ and when that happens the Elders of Jihad, Ango, Junaid and co, will point their boys the direction of Christians enclaves. The mother of all carnage and battle will thereafter ensue. By then there would be no difference between Boko Haram and ordinary street Almajiri as they head southwards via Middle Belt.

to say am happy is an understatement as regards this piece of news. when the call to arms is sounded across Igbo land,am sure more than 500000 soldiers(myself inclusive) would volunteer for defense of the homeland.the 5+1 initiative(SE+delta) is cool kos even though we can manufacture and invent small arms via our boys in polytechnics and engineering schools, we need the delta ports for heavy armor and artillery imports.

An explosion ripped through a school in northeast Nigeria on Monday, as students gathered for morning assembly before classes began, a teacher and a medic told AFP.
The blast happened at the Government Comprehensive Senior Science Secondary School in Potiskum, Yobe state, as students waited to hear the principal’s daily
