DESCRIPTION: Secretary / Sales Assistant

Our exciting organization reaches out across Nigeria, serving an international client base consisting of top brand names in the retail, small and medium businesses. We’re looking for a Passionate result driven individual to join our team over the next 2 weeks because our service is in high demand and our client portfolio is expanding.


 BASIC REQUIREMENT

-Minimum of ssce certificate.

-Good use of Microsoft office application will be an added advantage.

-Ond or BSc in a relevant field would be an advantage.

-Preferably Female.

-- No specific experience is required, but people with experience in retail sales, customer service, hospitality or similar customer-facing roles can be beneficial.

- A solid work ethic and desire to succeed are important because we operate in a performance-based industry and growth and earnings are both performance-based

 

Basic Duties


To be involved in stock control and management.


Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for.


Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.


Stocking shelves with merchandise.


Answering queries from customers.


Reporting discrepancies and problems to the Sales Manager.


Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.


Balancing cash registers with receipts.


Dealing with customer refunds.


Keeping the store tidy and clean, this includes hovering and mopping.


Responsible dealing with customer complaints.


Working within established guidelines, particularly with brands.


Responsible for security within the store and being on the look out for shoplifters and the likes.


Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock


Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.


Working with our logistics department to ensure synergy between sales and logistics.

 


PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

Having a friendly and engaging personality.


Comfortable working with members of the public.


Should have a confident manner.


Must be helpful and polite.


Assistants should be physically fit as they may be required to lift large amounts of stock.


You should have a comprehensive understanding of your area of sales i.e. retail, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, sports equipment etc.


Able to work as part of a sales team.


Knowledge of inventory techniques.


Should be of a smart appearance and articulate.
