The unrestricted use of fossil fuels should be phased out by 2100 if the world is to avoid dangerous climate change, a UN-backed
expert panel says.

The UN said inaction would cost "much more" than taking the necessary action.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said. "There is no ambiguity in their message. Leaders must act. Time is not on our side.

Just envisaging the extent to which an economy that depends only/mainly on crude oil exports would suffer if agreements are eventually made against (uncontrolled) use of fossil fuels.

Let them first discover a replacement (cleaner/greener, comparable in cost, comparable in effectiveness as per versatility in usage, and in good quantity) before making such nonsense statements.
