this question has been on my mind for long,,, i tried surfing the net for answers, but i could not get a definite one,, so thats why i decided to bring it to NL, lemme see if anybody has an idea...
I stammered when i was younger. ( between 8 to 10 yrs i think..) but i as i grew older,, i just stopped, i really do not know how. though, there is still a tiny hint of stuttering in my speech, but it only happens rarely, and maybe when i am arguing or talking quickly.. my childhood friend also stammered when he was younger, but unlike me,, his own has gone worse now he is older..
so my question is,, is there anything or anyway way stuttering can be reduced,, or even stopped?? ( like a cure or something.), like in my case.. cos to be candid, i really dont know how mine stopped, my mum said i overgrew it,, though i dont know if it is possible to "overgrow" stammering.. moreso is there anyway that can worsen it,, like in my friends case,, cos truly his own has gone from bad to worse.... please help me shed some light on the matter my fellow NL's...

Well there's this thing they say that if you give a stammerer the slime from a snail to drink it will cure his stammering.

It's not NAFDAC approved so attempt at youd own risk.

It has no cure. It's more about relaxing before you speak. If you speak when nervous or angry, you're bound to stammer. Also, try to have the words arranged in your head before you speak.


And if it's that bad, see a speech therapist.

While waiting for any possible cure by our readers..Stammering can also be control that one hardly notice it.
Take out some time to pratice this steps it really helped me.
Let's go..Relax yourself where you can't be disturbed..Take in a long breath in and hold on for some time enough as your strenght can carry you,and start releasing (exhale) as slow as possible..Don't rush it and continue praticing you will thank God later!
