even UNN, uyo and more accept that. Mind u some time u have 3.5 and u don't have 60percentile so some schools will reject u accept they state 3.5 categorically on the application
ok.i understand.there is also d possibility of scoring 3.5 and having less than 60%....but some schools e.g unilorin usually publish on their website that 60percent or its equivalent cgpa...oh!it should have been 60% or 3.5

Wow, what an impressive resume. When I grow up sir, I want to be like you. smiley. Meanwhile,I am currently a first year PhD student focusing on IoT. I intend to publish a paper during my first year. I have not publish any paper before and it seems to be a very daunting task for me considering the fact that i have a very strong background in software development where i think in codes and data, writing a scientific paper is a very challenging task for me. Can you provide us with practical steps on how to write a good academic paper . I will also appreciate if you can share your experiences coming up with ideas for the various papers you have written so far. By the way I just sent you a request on LinkedIn grin

Re: Thread For PHD Students by kensoft: 10:29pm On Dec 24, 2016
Dear icebot,
Writing a good academic paper is a matter of diligence and determination which i believe you already have.
1. First, start with a review paper on IoT generally. here, you download related articles on IoT and carry out a comprehensive review on IoT applications, concepts and trends.
2. Google for current conferences or journals that have Call for paper (CFP) in this area as a sub-theme, send the manuscript to the editor or LOC team'e email. Check for Authors guide and format your paper with their templates and other instructions.
3. After the blind peer-review, they will mail you on the decision whether it is accepted or Rejected.
4. Then you can now submit the final camera ready if accepted.
5. You must work with a senior colleague/supervisor or a good academics that have expanded R&D experience to guide you.
6. Don't wait until you have a fantastic paper, just start up with the idea you have in mind.
7. For IoT, there are several issues that could be published. It all depends on what you are work on specifically.
You can mail me privately so that i will give you my number for in-dept explanations Ok. IoT is a very interesting area and i have done a couple of works in this area. My email-arissyncline@yahoo.com or kennedy.okafor@futo.edu.ng

@phylp, you are correct dear. Well your discipline is far from my domain, so i can't offer much help. Note that for most low tuition universities, you must have good research records so as to access their grants, etc. So while seek for this information, try as much as possible to have good papers, etc., in order to benefit from any good opportunity in this regard.
I wish you the very best.

Look for any appropriate university in Germany, as German universities charge no tuition for PhD. Also, most Italian universities charge very low tuition, with a possibility of obtaining waiver.

For those who have ever applied to European universities for MSc or PhD studies....has anyone ever heard of Residence certificate?

Some European Universities are demanding for it, and I am in dire need of one to submit alongside some documents.

If you've ever obtained one, how did you do it?

I have an MSc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management - 3.8 CGPA. Am interested in a PhD in Education and wondering if anyone knows a course in Education that has this course requirement.

Am currently looking at University of Ilorin, University of Ibadan and National Open University. I've looked at their websites but all I got are general requirements without specific course requirements. Please help if you know or can help me find out if you are a student in any of these schools. Thanks.
