I know most people like you would have heard so many wonderful things about omega-3 fatty acids and its many health benefits. But, the problem here is that most people do not even know how to get it or which sources are best for getting it. There are two basic fatty acids that are being consumed each day. These are : omega-6 fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids.For a more healthier body, you will have to find the right balance between these two group of fatty acids; and that is what I'm going to be writing about today.

Omega-6 fatty acids can be sourced from your everyday vegetable while omega-3 fatty acids can be sourced from oily fish, walnuts and freshly ground flax-seed. You can also get your omega-3 from most of the oil fish supplements you can find around. Note that, when your body lack the right balance of both the omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, you can run a risk of heart diseases, inflammatory conditions and cancers.

So, you need to make sure that you try to make your fatty acids intake as balaned as possible. Even if you aren't a fan of fish, you can always opt for any of the variations of omega-3 supplements which your doctor or medical adviser can recommend. But if you think you can deal with fish, you can just start with one pack of sardine per week to supplement the oils you eat in your oily foods. So, here are the healthy things omega-3 will do for you.

1. It reduces blood pressure.

If you're prone to high blood pressure, you can start supplementing your diet with either fish oils or the omega-3 capsules. This will help you balance up and you'll begin to see changes in your BP.

2. beneficial to the nervous system.

This is mostly beneficial to the aged or for those with nervous issues. You can start your omega-3 intake step by step and increase your dosage by the recommendation of your doctor. Within 3 months of omega-3 intake, you'll begin to see a change in the balance of your nervous system.

3. good cure for mild depression.

Depression can be of many forms but when you have a mild depression due to imbalance of your body fluids, you can start balancing up your body's fatty acids by taking omega-3 supplements or foods. Eat more of oily fish and try to vary your oil sources when cooking.

4. nutures the health of breast tissues.

If you come from a family lineage where there are many reported cases of breast cancer, you may want to consider taking quick precautions early enough. Omega-3 could be the answer as it recommended as a healthy support for fine-tuning breast tissues in women.

Many people talk about a balanced diet, but only a few actually implement them. You can possibly have both inter and intra balanced meal by varying your food sources. By interbalancing your meal, you could have different classes of foods in one plate. But by intrabalancing it, you can have varying vegetables or peas mixed with other food classes. This is exactly what is recommended for your oils too.
You should have a healthy combination of both omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids if you want to have a healthy amount of fats in your food each week. Write down how much of the different oils you consume each week and try to complement both. The more you get used to the amount of both fatty acids, the more you'll be able to balance your oil intake.
Omega-3 fatty acids shouldn't just be gotten from capsules as a supplement. You can decide to source for them naturally as mentioned above, and try to maintain the right amount of omega-3 in your meals everytime. This way, you'll start to reap the several healthy benefits the omega-3 can provide for you. Balance thing up and you'll start to live a healthier life.
