I just downloaded and listen to the dope collaboration between the two best in the world, the legendary Busta Rhyme and my best in the world the Real Slim Shady (Eminem) this two totally killed thee track by trying to outwit each other.
I have listened to Eminem collaboration where he murdered all the rappers that featured him on their tracks like Lil Wayne, Jayz, TI and a lot host of others Royce da 59, his partner in crime in their hit tracks like Fast lane and Take from me.
In September 2013 Busta rhyme in an interview with XXL says " i have got a six minutes record with Eminem that sounds like we are respectfully trying to battle each other in a way that you probably never heard us battle in our entire careers on records. So its lot of real incredibly golden movement for us on this project.
In July 2014, during an interview with Power 106Fm, busta explained that as he and Eminem kept going back and forth in a competitive battling manner the song went from three minutes and eight seconds too six minutes. Busta explained how the song came together, Busta said after he listened to the instrument he immediately recorded two 16 bar verses and titled the song " CALM DOWN" after marinating on the song for sometimes he felt it would be incredibly for Eminem to get on it.
After a few months, Busta met up with Rosenburg in the studio where heard Eminem verse and was blown away but was also intrigued that Eminem had a longer verse which triggered a competitive process. Busta then wrote a 50 bar verse and flew out to Eminem studio in Detroit for a mix session, after Eminem heard Busta verse he expanded his own verse to 60 bars, Busta gets a steps further by expanding his own to 62, Eminem finally nailed it extending his to 64 bar.
Finally Busta noted that it started off from just doing a dope, high energy hip-hop record into us respectfully competing and damn near battling each other. And stated that he and Eminem "bring the best out of each other and praise Eminem as someone who genuinely still cares about the music.
