Our average welders must understand that designs/ inventions is govern by COST and SAFETY. That thing probably has a proper VW engine. Remember that the VW has its engines at the back and it's drive training at the back as well.

I doubt that motorcycle handlebar can properly handle the power from that engine.

What I am also concerned about is the chassis. How was the handle bar connected to the frame of the VW.

Is the engine of the motorcycle powerful enough to pull that weight?
You also have to consider the difference in the wheel. The front wheel which is the power wheel can't possibly absorb shocks compared to the back wheels. There's a high chance it'll lose balance if it enters a deep pothole.

Anyways, kudos to the fabricator. I'm a huge fan of making use of scrap cars.

It's actually powered by the beetle engine. It's a rear wheel drive, air cooled engine. So it has enough horsepower to carry 5 adults.
