To avoid Data consumption of android phone kindly go to setting, data usage, click those applications and at the end click restrict background and the second step is to off your data When not in use.

First of all, admit that the Airtel 2gig plan ( if it is not the N2000 for 2GB) is not actually 2gig. It is below 300MB. Admitted? Alright thanks.
Secondly, Root your damn phone and install AFWall+ ( Android Firewall Plus) which is an advanced or updated version of Droidwall to unauthorize some apps from using your data.
Thirdly, learn to try other subscription especially through these data resellers and see if it is actually 2gig you subscribed previously.

the airtel plan isnt up to 2GB so dont beat yourself up. check your data usage map and that'll tell you who the culprits are. The video tutorial below will help you

The practical solution is to deactivate your data when not in used. Also download an app called supercleaner. Every mins it automatically force close background apps that might be eating your data when your data connection is on. Only for rooted phones.
