Do you all know that the company Etisalat is also known as Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) which is multinational United Arab Emirate based telecommunications service provider, they are now operating in 15 top countries across Asia, Middle East and Africa

Here comes the big hit, as the Mobile Telecommunication, Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) had given a scholarship merit award to 50 Nigerian Undergraduate students from some different universities in Nigeria worth the sum of N100, 000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira).
Ten (10) students who were beneficiaries of the award came from different universities in Nigeria, they are;


University of Lagos (UNILAG)
University of Benin (UNIBEN)
Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife,
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH),
Ogbomoso and Adekunle Ajasin University (AAU), Ondo State.
It was grate joy for the students that scored a very high cumulative grade point average from 3.89 to 5 points in the academic records, what an outstanding records.
A presentation by Team University of Lagos (UNILAG), “Project Social Media Centre” was adjudged third best while the first and second position went to University of Benin (UNIBEN) and Obafemi Amolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife respectively.
The Etisalat Merit Award is a scholarship scheme designed to fulfill the company’s goal of empowering the society through knowledge acquisition and promoting education within Nigeria.
The scheme focuses on awarding grants to second and third year students enrolled in any Nigerian University.
