**Heaven ** A beauty to behold So glad I was not told Everyone has a smile One that glints not like a lie Our king makes me sees the world In a pyramid of sword. Angels and saints hold my hands I peer into them and I see great lands Flourishing in plenty with our Creator The one who is our tutor. A CRY FOR NIGERIA I wake up with a smile One that crept into my mind like a lie A message it reveals with steam Soldiers angry in me a team Of downtrodden souls who are crushed By the shackles of slavery yet lushed Struggling to stand to the top In the midst of wolves that drop Anarchy is the order of the day You evil leaders shall pay Who else will you lay? Have you got anything to say? Even the scriptures have unleashed Its venom since time immemorial On them whose names seem ceremonial A swirling wind pushes my pen of fire Into a thirst of unquenchable desire As I resolve to always refire Alas the happy days are here! Cling to our people while they fare In a state of excitement with care Cherishing our values even with fear As we are ready to carry the name we bear Till eternity as a Lear.
