Since the commissioning of the Nike / Neke / Ikem road in 2013, it has never witnessed the volume of Vehicular traffic as today! The quiet town of Ikem in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area also witnessed a marmot crowed who came to grace the flag-off ceremony of Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's governorship campaign. As early as 9am all roads led to Ikem, the LG headquarter of Isi-Uzo LGA the venue of the State PDP campaign flag-off. Party faithfuls and other well wishers thronged the venue to cheer their sons and daughters as they received PDP flags to contest for various offices come February 2015.

Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi will be slugging it out with Chief Okey Ezea (Ideke) of APC who will be making his "third missionary journey" having attempted and lost to the incumbent, Gov. Sullivan Chime in 2003 and 2011 elections respectively.

With the massive and unprecedented support being shown to Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the PDP campaign will merely be a consolidation to ensure that no stone is left unturned in ensuring a landslide victory for Gburugburu come February 28th, 2015.

The campaign train will move to Nkwo-Nike, the Enugu-East Local Government headquarters on Tuesday January 20th.
