my brother was sent an invitation to play with the club. but I could smell something fishy in the email messages he received. have tried using Google to search if it's a scam but to no avail. Please help me out here.

Nel Mario is not Al Ahli 1st team coach but Milan Macala. I guess it a well planned scam. How did he meet ur bro. Has he ever scouted him once?

My brother in law was sent an invitation to apply for a trial from Federaçao Cabo-Verdsiana de Futebol (FCF)
Cape Verde Islands. They said if his application is accepted, he would be given given a 1 year residence permit and that arrangements will be made for his travel fare.
They said if during the trial he's chosen, he will be signed and also sent to Europe.
... Long story short, the filled the form, was accepted, was sent a copy of the residence permit as promised. Along with the permit is an acceptance form he is to fill then pay a registration fee of USD115.

Here is where I have my suspicion;
1. The registration fee is to be paid via Western Union and to a person whose name they gave us. I thought it ought to be paid to the association.
2. The email with which they are communicating is ...@gmail.com instead of ...@FCF.cv or something like that.

Has anyone encountered this? My in-law already has high hopes.
