Zamfara State is the only state (as at my last recollection) that practices the Sharia Judicia system. Zamfara State has not had any crazy incident outside of that one issue that got some international attention and was eventually commuted. Zamfara State has never been attacked by Islamic Militants. The militants that have been wrecking havocs in Borno State and Adamawa are not from Zamfara State. So far, the Sharia Legal system seems yo be working just fine in Zamfara State.
