Chadian troops have entered the northern Nigerian town of Gambaru on the border with Cameroon that has been under the control of Nigeria’s Boko Haram insurgents for several months, Chadian military sources said on Tuesday. The Nigerian government and military officials were not immediately available to comment. “Our troops entered Nigeria this morning. The combat is ongoing,” one of the sources at Chad’s army headquarters told Reuters. Chad has deployed some 2,500 troops as part of a regional effort to take on the militant group that has waged a bloody insurgency to create an Islamist emirate in northern Nigeria. http://thenationonlineng.net/new/chad-troops-nigerian-town-boko-haram/ 5 Likes |

GEJ, looting money since 2010 "However on 9 October 2014, the richestlifestyle.com website ranked Mr Jonathan sixth on its list, claiming his net worth was about $100m (£62m). He threatened to sue the website, claiming it "was an attempt to portray him as corrupt."[9] The page was removed, but was then published by another website."----WIKIPEDIA GEJ Supporters, explain this: The pension scam, subsidy scam,Ribadu report neglect, bullet proof car saga, chartered flight, 15m jet money laundry, fake kerosine subsidy, immigration rubbery, missing monies: $20b (NNPC), N500b(sure p) etc, less than 30% capital budget (despite the oil boom), less than 50% budget performance (despite the oil boom), unprecedented recklessness and wastages in the system--fleet of presidential jets, Aso rock knife & fork, Aso zoo, machinery, gen etc. pardon/dropping of charges of known criminals and subsequent award to undeserving individuals, depletion of the excess crude account, external reserve, Chibok girls, un-presidential statement like stealing is no corruption, etc etc etc PS: Nairaland Poll On February Presidential Election Between Jonathan And Buhari: https://www.nairaland.com/2119319/nairaland-poll-february-presidential-election Please CAST your votes 11 Likes 1 Share |

Unfortunately we've reached a point where we'd accept any sort of help from whosoever to stop the wanton bloodletting and destruction in the troubled areas of our dear country, but, Nigeria, a sovereign nation, the giant of Africa no less, consenting to foreign boots (Chadian for that matter) waging war on our soil with all the possible collateral damage?! I can't shake my head enough. How did we get here? 4 Likes |
