Kia Owners forum? What is this?

We all know KIA's have no SOUL

Get it? grin wink

Guy you re a relic from a lost age. Vehicles are inanimate objects they dont have souls. FYI the Koreans are improving, the Japanese you so admire made very poor cars decades ago, but they improved. KIA is coming up.

I'm hoping i cn get sm advise here:

I own an 07 kia cerato manual transmission, presently clocking 112k km., boughtvat 60k km.

Recently gear has become stiff and difficult to select. Reverse gear engages with an uncomfortable grinding sound, 5th gear hardly selects.

Had a technician check who says d clutch system is fine, no leaks, adequate clutch oil, clutch pedal depresses just fine. He thinks d clutch disk would need chngin but im afraid.

From my searching on d net, im wondering if it could be d transmission oil.

Car manual says to chg at 100k km with a 75w 85 grade (fill for life).

Considering engine is clocking 112k, shld i attempt d chg..if d oil spec is fill for life, why would it require changing (that is supposing present oil is factory filled).

I need sm guide frm smone with experience.

drain and refill manual transmission hypoid gear fluid 75W85. Try if you can get the mobius branded type, if you can't, use Toyota GL-5 or even Mobil type.

OK, thanks. So it's to change both clutch plate n disc I guess. Though there is no check light on.

Diagnosis first. Do you find it difficult shifting through gears when you clutch down

Vehicle is underpowered. Too many variables involved. no quick remote solution.

you never asked what year model it was. It could be as simple as a fuel pump, and as hard as sludge wink

Hi folks, my 2010 Cerato is giving me headache. I hear a knocking sound when u turn the steering left and right. Mechanics here have suggested that it poses no danger bu the sound is uncomfortable and most obvious when I drive over a pot-hole or a bump. It seems to be a common problem with Kia from my online researches.Had anyone experienced this or has solutions to it?

Check you steering knuckles... its the link that connects the steering to the wheel controls turns.. might have worn and have some clearance.

Good day Kia lovers and owners. Am having issues with an 012 optima. The legs feel so light at the front like I can hardly get a grip on the ground so it seems like it wants to throw me off when am driving. Don’t know if it’s a problem or it’s just me. Also when I accelerate hard on motion to overtake my car jerks real hard before it moves. Lastly my engine weighs down sometimes on it’s on like it’s carrying a load meanwhile the AC would not be on at such times. Gazzuzz you based in Phc??
