Alake accused some Nigerian media organisations of being compromised.

He said that he could not vouch for the independence of some of the organisers of the debate.

Alake, who was once the Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos State between 1999 – 2007, however, would not disclose those he claimed have been compromised.

The Jonathan/Sambo 2015 Presidential Campaign Organisation has, however, informed the organisers that President Jonathan “has accepted to participate in the debate.”

This was contained in a letter by the Director-General of the campaign organisation, Senator Ahmadu Ali.

The debate, which was initiated by Channels Television, Arise Television and the Newspapers Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN), is scheduled to hold at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

It has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 3 as part of the build-up to the February 14 elections.

Buhari is old, and has started forgetting things. APC knows that they will be scoring an own goal allowing him to participate in any debate.
He may even go there and spill all the secrets of APC including how his statement of result was forged.
