Today, news media is awash with information that Jega has bowed to pressure to postpone the election slated for Feb 14th.
First, late into January, a court declared deployment of soldiers for election duties illegal in a democratic society. Then why is the military still writing INEC that they won't be available for the election and that they are focusing on onslaught against boko haram they have been fighting since inception of this government.
Second, Jega alleged that police also wrote him. Since when has large chunk of Nigerian Police personnel being involved in boko haram fighting?
Is the police and civil defence not adequately equipped for this election?
people should please clarify things.

When I listened to the AsoRock correspondent of Arise Networks ask the same question, I sat back and gave it a thought, but honestly couldn't give it an answer.
The @PoliceNG and @CivilDefenders have the required manpower and are adequately equipped(to an extent) to carryout one of their responsibilities; provision of election security. What I cannot understand is this "letter" said to be written by the IGP himself, if true, one would only conclude that they have pitched tents with the Political Party(ies) putting pressure on the @INECNigeria Chair to shift the polls!

Abi oooo.
Until our teeming gullible, mumuistic population starts to ask those in positions of power clear and logical questions, we are going nowhere in this country. They will keep taking us for a ride.

Stupid and daft PDP supporters are jubilating lost to the reality of the implication of this postponement and the precedent it will set.

GEJ is there today and I hope the daft stupld clueless people jubilating today won't cry fowl in 2019 when the APC try to be wiser by half too then.

No way, GEJ will win this election except he has no plan to conduct any election till 2019.

Nigerians are watching and wiser.

We should remember that this same election ought to have been conducted around November/December 2014. 6 months average prior to handing over date.
