actually darker skins have better skin. they dont crack when they get older and anything they get doesnt easily show up on their body, like mosquito bites. (im light so everything shows!!)
but anyway light people can have a gazillion scars and spots and you will be able to notice it, unlike a dark person that could probably conceal it.
and usually dark skin people (that ive come across) are more prone to having skin like honey (as in feeling)
so when will africans stop with this "light skin equals good skin crap"

The OP was so clear on the topic yet many have decided to deviate from it. Maybe they are just slow and lacking in IQ. It's not their fault.
But for their sake, let's go step by step;
- Rita is known for her smooth, flawless skin - no freckles, no pimples.
- Tonto is also known for her smooth, flawless skin - no freckles, no pimples.

The OP therefore wants to know your opinion of who between the TWO of them has clearer skin. . . .Whose skin beats the other in terms of glow?
- The OP did not mention that the two are superior beauties because of the [i]colour [/i]of their skin, rather, who between the two of them has baby-soft skin!
- The OP has skin texture, glow and clarity in mind, but one insecure girl who hates what she sees in the mirror has to reassure herself that she is beautiful by attaching a picture of a persona non grata to her post, just to prove her point, but sadly revealing her insecurities. Lol and double lol.

@ Amaka, there is a shallow thread on Dark vs Light. Feel free to join it. All insecure girls have made their contributions there, but this particular thread is on Rita vs Tonto and whose skin one prefers. It's not to compare 'Light' vs 'Dark'. This 'dark skin is better' philosophy should not even be a topic of discussion if deep down you believe it to be true.

Even if the two had different skin shades, let's say. one light, the other dark, people still have their preferences. Some prefer light while others dark. And contrary to popular belief, more people prefer dark skin and they shout it from the mountain top. Why applaud one preference and scorn another? Isn't that the height of hypocrisy?

Nothing to do with complexion, Amaka. Skin tone refers more to clarity, blemish-free etc.

And for the record, I prefer dark skin - my wife is a chocolate beauty.
