Deputy National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Uche Secondus has said that River’s State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi is the cause of the crisis in the state.

Secondus during a press briefing in Abuja said “The crisis in Rivers State is Amaechi. You journalists should investigate. He shut down the courts. He shut down the state assembly and he is now the sole administrator and maximum leader and the people are resisting.

“Salaries aren’t paid as at when due, the state fund being taken away to sponsor the presidential candidate of the APC, General Muhhamadu Buhari. Our jet now is owned by Buhari. Where in this world is it done that people are happy?

‘’Therefore, all the news of crisis is being generated by Amaechi, because he has lost the state and he sustains himself on the pages of newspapers. Amaechi is the problem.”

He also added that the Okrika crisis is between two factions of the All Progressives Congress.

He said “The Okrika matter that you talked about was APC versus APC, but Amaechi is orchestrating it as if it was the PDP and he is even bringing the name of the wife of the President.”

While reacting to the allegations, Ameachi who reportedly spoke through his Chief of Staff, Mr. Tony Okocha described the allegations as spurious and illogical.

Everyone is just afraid of this first lady... Amaechi rejected oppression, he turn bad person, timi silva rejected same he turn bad person... GEj don't want OBJ to control him so no Gov will ever want a first lady to control him.

Yes, I quite agree that Amaechi is the cause of the problems in Rivers state. This is because from the beginning of Amaechi's govt, he made known that he is not in govt to share Rivers money to some Abuja vampires. He repeatedly say that" Rivers money is for Rivers people" which got so many of those people fighting him today to be angry. No godfather(s). no homage to any oga at the top. The likes of T.A Orji used Abia resources in paying homage and doing PR thereby receiving some nation awards from GEJ for doing nothing for his people after 8yrs in power.

Now, Amaechi is spending River's money to fund APC... the highest donor to APC purse till date.
