Locust, perhaps?
Locust is Igwulube. But there might be variations in what it's called as between dialects

Leopard is Agu.

Tiger is an Asia cat so our ancestors didn't see it to name it.... Same way u can't tell me igbo name for Bison.

all are correct except for the lion and tiger ...there has never been an existence of tiger in africa so the odum is the lion and agu is leopard....odum egbo Judah means lion of the tribe of Judah

No it is not. Lion is Odum, Agu is Tiger, although many Igbos call Lion Agu.

I knew this right from my childhood and it came as a surprise to me seeing people call Lion Agu as I grew up.

No bigfrancis, tiger is an aisan animal and don't exist in west Africa jungles instead it's leopard that exist in which leopard has a strong historical connection in ancient West Africa / Igbo and Akwaibom / Cross Rivers cultural area of Nigeria so bigfrancis Agu in Igbo is leopard and not tiger.

Wrong... Nze is Leopard, Agu is Tiger while Odum is Lion, Ediabali is Civet.

Mind you, I grew up in the village, read and studied Igbo language for some years...

In which Igbo dialect is Nze Leopard?

Did you also have tigers in that village you grew up?
