For the purpose of this tutorial local server will be defined as a server that is running in your computer (laptop or desktop) to enable you design a website on your system and test run it without hosting it or buying a domain to publish it. Below are the steps to get started.

2. Double click on the XAMPP file you just downloaded and follow the onscreen instruction to install it.

3. Lunch the application using Admin right (normally the XAMPP will installed in "c:\xampp\" so nevigate there and scroll down to "xampp control"

4. Click the START button on APACHE and MySQL

5. lunch any of your browser and type 127.0.0.1 and if you are presented with the image below then you good to go so see you next on how to install wordpress.

Lesson 2

1. Open your Internet browser and type 127.0.0.1 on the address bar

2. click status ( this will present a page to let you know whether your configuration is secured or unsecured)

3. click security and enter user`s name and password for your XAMPP pages, MySQL , PhpMyAdmin

when done properly you should get the follow screen below

Lesson 3

1. Type "127.0.0.1/dashboard" on your address bar and scroll down and nevigate to any of your script choice and download, install it using the onscreen instructions.

Lesson 4

1. After the installation of your choice of script which mine is wordpress

2. Go to your address bar and type 127.0.0.1/wordpress

3. You will be presented with a worpress blog containing the information you filled while installing the wordpress app.

4. login with your account details and start working on your wordpress site.
