This can lead to further shift of the election, even if INEC decide a stay on execution and try to appeal this case and the election holds,if the YOung democratic party wins the election will be cancelled. INEC in ensuring that this party is included in the election means they can't be disenfranchised in producing their candidates at all levels and this candidate must also be allowed to be voted for, this in itself will require INEC to reprint their papers;considering that it is done in europe, this can result to further shift of the election. The party may even be a strategic party for another big party. |

Everything PDP? Do you know for how long these dudes have been in court? PDP also told Ogun and Osun state govts not to pay salaries? PDP took your brains too! PDP will force you to go and take SME loan and do something meaningful with your life. E-diots |

It's obvious the new party, YDP is playing the script of GEJ/PDP. They want the election shifted again, it's as if Jega and 2015 election are sitting on a landmine. YDP is the tool to achieve thier goal.....2years more for GEJ. Could you believe YDP chose March 26th for presidential primaries, just 2 days before long awaited general election. Rubbishing INEC's constitution as usual. Nigeria is always like a comedy village. I foresee court counselling the election if GMB won, giving the excuss that INEC didn't carry YDP along the electoral process. I think Jonathan is not as clueless as people think! |

Again, Nairalanders are showcasing their ignorance. This is a complex matter. If INEC carries out Elections on the 28th without having YDP on the ballot, that would only prepare the ground for YDP to return to court again and legally have the election cancelled. The court injunction may get to INEC on the 27th, if it gets to them by that time, then INEC would realise how big a mistake they've made I like Jega, but he's threading wrongly on this one. Except he's secretly working for the cancellation of the election. |

Marvin67: Did the Fresh Democratic Party not present a court injunction during the Anambra state guber? Has the election been overturned? Stop exhibiting illiteracy and then accuse others of ignorance. The electoral act is clear on issues like this, all political parties registered must submit the names of candidates to INEC not later 30days before election. Is YDP a registered party yet as at today? Those are technical legal issues above your understanding. The court direct inec to register, have they passed inec registration guidelines to merit being registered? Jega is a professor of political science he knows what the law says. 1 Like |

The YDP people actually have a case and things could get messier than they already are if everyone keep flexing their muscles. Inec should be diplomatic and negotiate a settlement out of court with those guys. Just saying, because there is no way to still include that party in already printed ballot papers. |

xlnc2324: You are right, besides the so called judgement came after Feb 14, so what if the elections held on feb 14, will it be annulled? |
